Two days after Cevin Meador had his interim tag removed and was named the 13th head coach of the Chico State men's basketball team, the Wildcats' season came to an end in round one of the NCAA Division II West Regional Tournament. Second-seeded Chico, playing shorthanded in the playoff matchup, lost 82-79 in overtime to the sixth-seeded Central Washington.
