Beverly Louise Kroes

Beverly Louise Kroes of Avon, Indiana, formerly of Cadillac, passed away December 13, 2024 at Harmony at Avon. She was 79. Beverly was born December 19, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Josephine (Costanzo) Roberts and raised by Sam and Josephine Harper in Gull Lake, Michigan.

On June 3, 1989 in Cadillac she married Edgbert J. Kroes and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2017.

She worked at Giant Grocery Store in Cadillac for more than 20 years.

She and Bert enjoyed going to auctions and the casino. After moving to Indiana in 2022 she enjoyed bingo, sewing, playing crossword puzzles, doing crafts, having yard sales, playing the lottery and watching Blue Bloods.

Beverly is survived by her children: Duane (Pam) Houvener of Springfield, TN, Matthew (Jennifer)Kroes of Utica, KY, Jeff (Julie) Houvener of Brownsburg, IN, Eric Kroes of Cadillac, Shannon Andersen (Kroes) of Ann Arbor; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Bill (Annette) Roberts of Alabama, Sam Harper of Augusta, MI, David Harper of Delton, MI, Larry Harper of Augusta, MI.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Houvener in 2022 and three grandsons.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services in Cadillac. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Lucas Cemetery in Missaukee County.
