KYLA BRESLIN

CENTRAL CATHOLIC

The freshman went undefeated in every Merrimack Valley Conference meet and Invitational race during the regular season. She broke course records in Haverhill and North Andover while setting a 10:43 personal best in a 3K at Wrentham. Her season ended short as she fractured her tibia at the divisional meet.

JANIE CONRAD

LEXINGTON

The NXR-Northeast third-team selection placed in the top 20 at the Northeast championship (19.14.3) as well as taking fifth place at the Div. 1A championship and seventh in the All-State championship (18:58.24). The Middlesex League All-Conference team member went undefeated in league races and placed second at the Middlesex League championship with the second-fastest course time at Woburn (18:06.5).

MADELINE COURTEMANCHE

CENTRAL CATHOLIC

The 2023 Merrimack Valley Conference Runner of the Year won the Frank Mooney Invitational with a career personal record of 18:15. The senior also took fifth at the MVC championship, sixth at the Div. 1C championship and 14th at the All-State meet. The two-time All-Scholastic is a member of the National Honor Society and a high honor roll student. She plans to major in chemical engineering while hoping to run at the collegiate level.

EMMA DALEY

WEYMOUTH

The senior finished seventh at the Bay State Conference championships as well as 15th in the Div. 1A championships and 10th at the Div. 1 All-States. She also participates in track and field and plans to major in nursing and attend Sacred Heart University in the fall.

EMERSYN DELPONTE

TAUNTON

The senior captain placed first in the Bay State Invitational, fifth at the Twilight meet, third at the Hockomock Championships, seventh at the Div. 1A meet and 11th at the Meet of Champions. A member of the National Honor Society has committed to Northeastern University and will continue to compete at the collegiate level.

CIARA EVANS

NEWTON NORTH

The senior set the school record with her 18:00 to take second place at the Bay State Conference meet. She also placed third in the Div. 1A championship (19:02) and ninth in the Meet of Champions (19:05).

MOLLY GALGOCZY

NORTH ATTLEBORO

The Davenport Division MVP set a school and personal record with a 18:20 in the 5K. The sophomore placed second at the Hockomock League championship, 16th at the Div. 1 state meet and 23rd in the Meet of Champions. The highest honors student hopes to continue running at the collegiate level.

EMMA GENOVESE

MILLIS

The Tri-Valley League Small MVP and All Star made a name for herself as an eighth grader. She went undefeated in dual meets this season as she even set the program record in the 5K with an 18:24. Genovese placed third in the Tri-Valley League championship meet, second in the Div. 3C championship and 10th in the Meet of Champions. The straight A student has plans and aspirations of taking her love and passion for running to the collegiate level one day.

GRETA HAMMER

NEEDHAM

The junior placed second in the Nike Cross Regionals and also 25th at the Nike Cross Nationals after setting course records and placing first in the Meet of Champions (18:02) as well as the Div. 1 meet (18:14). She set a personal record of 17:32 in the Bay State Conference meet.

MAGGIE KUCHMAN

HOLLISTON

The Tri-Valley League MVP placed first place in the Tri-Valley League championship, first place in the Div. 2B championship and second at the Meet of Champions. The senior ran a season best at the MSTCA Frank Mooney Invitational with a 17:49.17. The now four-time All-Scholastic is a National Honor Society member and is committed to Amherst College for cross country and track and field.

HAMILTON-WENHAM

The Cape Ann League Runner of the Year placed top 10 in the Frank Kelley Invitational this season. The sophomore is a high honor roll student, member of DECA and also plays basketball and participates in track and field

SASHA LAMAKINA

FRAMINGHAM

The junior placed fourth at the Bay State Conference while also setting the school record in the 5K. She also placed ninth at the divisional meet and 19th at the Meet of Champions. Lamakina is a member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student.

EVIE LAUZON

ARLINGTON

The Middlesex League MVP went undefeated for all seven meets and set records in five of six courses during the season. The senior won the Middlesex League meet for the first time in program history with a 17:55. A member of the National Honor Society, Lauzon plans to run at the Div. 1 level.

NATALIE MARTIN

NORWOOD

The senior set a personal record of 18:21.36 this season as she placed fifth in the Tri-Valley League meet, first at the Div. 2A championship and sixth at the Div. 2 Meet of Champions. She will attend the College of the Holy Cross for cross country and track in the fall.

MIA McCUSKER

CHELMSFORD

The Division 2 Runner of the Year and first-team All-Merrimack Valley Conference set a personal record with a 19:30 this season. The sophomore qualified and competed in the New Balance Indoor Track Nationals last season in the freshman mile. The MVC All-Star is a high honor roll student.

GIANNA McGOWAN

BILLERICA

In her first season participating, the sophomore went undefeated up until a fourth place finish at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions. She also won the Div. 1C championship and was runner up in the Merrimack Valley Conference. The high honor roll student plans to run in college while studying pre-med.

KATHERINE MURRAY

NORWELL

The South Shore League MVP placed first in the Div. 3A meet and placed third in the Div. 3 Meet of Champions. The freshman set a personal record with an 18.26 in a 5K. The South Shore League Champion also won the Martha’s Vineyard Invitational and is a high honor roll student.

MARRIETTA O’CONNELL

MARBLEHEAD

The Northeastern Conference Runner of the Year placed second in the Div. 2A championship as well as third in the Div. 2 Meet of Champions. The junior went undefeated in the NEC regular season for the third straight year and won the NEC championship for the second straight season. The NEC All-Conference player set her season best with a 18:00.61. The high honor roll student wants to improve her running in high school with hopes to run in college.

TEA PAGNOTTI

WESTWOOD

The Tri-Valley League All Star broke her school’s record with an 18:18 this season. The junior finished fifth at the Div. 2 Meet of Champions and led her team to an undefeated season and a state title. A three-season runner, Pagnotti has personal bests of 5:07 in the mile and 2:15 in the 800. She is a high honors student.

SOPHIA JUANES SETO

CAMBRIDGE

Juanes Soto was fourth at the Class A meet with a time of 19:05.91. The junior took a third at the Frank Kelley Invitational in helping the Falcons capture the team title. She cracked the top 40 at the Northeast Regional Cross-Country championships, navigating the course in a personal best time of 18:59.3.

AOIFE SHOVLIN

CAMBRIDGE

The Dual County League champion also placed fourth at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions and second in the Div. 1A championship. The two-time Div. 1 Meet of Champions champion is a member of the National Honor Society and is committed to the University of Pennsylvania.

MACEY SHRINER

PLYMOUTH NORTH

The three-time Patriot League MVP had a personal best 18:04 this season with a Patriot League championship and a fifth place finish at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions. The three-time Patriot League All Star is an honor roll student and is committed to Penn State for track.

EMILIA SMITH

ATTLEBORO

The Hockomock League MVP placed sixth at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions while also claiming first at the Hockomock League championship with a 17:59. The two-time All-Scholastic and two-time Hockomock League All Star also placed 23rd at the Footlocker New England Regionals. The National Honor Society member will run track and field at Elon University while majoring in public health.

CHARLOTTE TUXBURY

WELLESLEY

The senior set a personal record of 17:54 this season while also placing first at the Div. 1B championship and third at the Meet of Champions. The honor roll student played soccer/lacrosse until sophomore year and is running track/cross country at Wake Forest.

MADDIE TUXBURY

WELLESLEY

The freshman set her personal record with an 18:51 and came in fourth place at the Div. 1B championship meet and 15th at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions. She was a key part of a Wellesley team which finished second as a team at the state meet.

EMILY WEDLAKE

WESTFORD ACADEMY

The junior led her team to the Dual County League, Div. 1B and the All-State Meet of Champions this season. She placed second at the Dual County League championship (18:34.8), second in the Div. 1B championship (18:53.94), fifth place at the Meet of Champions (18:40.03) and 22nd at the Footlocker Regional Championship (18:42.2). The honors/AP student plans to run at the Div. 1 level in college.
