Speaker meets with Kazakhstani Chairman on sidelines of IPU assembly

Tashkent, Apr. 6 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, met with Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of 150th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.


Al Musallam emphasised the importance of enhancing bilateral ties in parliamentary, political and economic domains. 


He also expressed the Kingdom’s interest in advancing parliamentary cooperation and aligning positions at Asian and international forums, particularly in economy and energy.


Koshanov highlighted Kazakhstan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and exchanging parliamentary expertise. 


He expressed interest in aligning views on key issues and invited Bahrain to increase trade, investment, and coordination between the two countries.


The meeting was attended by MP Abdulnabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker; MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, Dr. Bassam Ismail Albinmohammed; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives; and Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council.
