And to think they actually paid someone to design that logo...

I think there must be one single company that designs all minor-league sports teams logos these day.

I think they're called G & B Designs, Inc. (Generic and Boring Designs, Inc.)

At least they didn't put some anthropomorphic cartoon creature in the middle of it.

Felix nothing came up..but $350 for first row on the glass isn't bad at all. I'm a huge fan of the old logo..new one needs some work. But on the Comets facebook site it ask for opinions so maybe they are tweaking it?

Nice. It is a little dated and might benefit from an update by Trent Reznor or someone similar.

Missouri Comets doesn't rally have the required ring, does it?

Puritanical butts welcome to I'd imagine...

Yep, yep, and yep. The old logo would be preferred actually.

All of the foreign exchange student I took to games all had the same opinion...second division Europe level, with a player or two per team well above that.

It was common to not even get the Comets score that night on the local sports...back when local sports got the last 7-8 minutes of anewscast before the weather or feel-good story. Heaven help you if you wanted a Euro score about anything or a USA national team score from a Continental Cup of anything else.

My nightmare story was attempting to view Preki and the nats vs Brazil in the CONCACAF. 30 calls and two bars had it, one was a bar I'd been to on the Kansas side previously that promised sound to a game. No dice. The second was the corner bar right next to Kemper. In the bar's decor was abundant MISL and other soccer swag. As it was, I was the only guy in teh bar watching. When I erupted after Preki's goal and continued to do so Keller save after Keller save, eventually the bar came to me and the TV to finish up. The larger point is, as Sam mentioned, it was tough to see anything in any way not so long ago.

    Ditto.

Time to ask for the money back.

Wonder when we are going to start hearing some coaching candidates names? Gotta think they are going with a KC guy right? Only makes sense.

Hopefully it's a local guy like Jim Schwab, Nate Houser, or Kim Roentved. I'd take any of those guys. But both Schwab (JCCC) and Houser (Baker) have secure coaching positions. It's a risk for anyone, but I hope it's one of those 3.

Redhawk -don't you think that Zoren Savic whould be a candidate also? Since he was so successful previously with the Comets?

Please no. I was disappointed with the Wizards picking him up. The game is beyond his ability now and if anyone wants to complain about the Wizards playing the "old guard" he does the same stuff. Hated him towards the end there.

Zoran had a rocky relationship with most of the players. He screams and yells a lot and just pisses everyone off. It would be a risk to hire him.

Plus at the moment he has a more solid employment position.

I wouldn't say he has a more solid position. I think Zoren will be let go as will the entire staff @ the end of the season. Maybe all the assitants are fired and Vermes keeps his job that way, for a "One more/last Year" type of deal.

Either way, there is no way he should get an interview for the Comets position.

I wouldn't be much of a supporter if I didn't ask what that song is they're singing at the 4:18 mark?

Feels like yesterday when my dad would take me there as a kid. I can honestly say the reason I got in to soccer was because of the Comets. As a five year old I figured indoor was the only kind of professional soccer there was. I went to Comet camps meet some players and even went to school with Gino Schiraldi's daughter, good times those were.
