Serbia beat Croatia for third straight water polo gold published at 14:25 11 August 2024

Serbia edged past Croatia to win their third straight Olympic title in the men's water polo.
Milos Cuk led the Serbs with three goals as they defeated Croatia 13-11 in Paris.
They become just the third team to win three consecutive golds after Great Britain (1908-1920) and Hungary (2000-2008).
Despite not finishing in the top three of a World Championships since 2017, Serbia have reached the podium at every Olympic Game since 1996.
They will be joined on the podium by the United States who defeated Hungary in a dramatic bronze medal match.
The Americans were 8-6 down with just three minutes left before they pulled back two crucial goals to force a penalty shootout, which they won 3-0.
