OFFICIAL NOTICE FROM THE ASUU SUPREME COURT
URGENT: Re-cast your vote for ASUU Elections NOW!
Dear Singh Ticket Voters,
You voted for the Singh Ticket during the 2025 ASUU Election, and we are asking you to RE-VOTE NOW, as the Singh Ticket violated multiple Elections rules.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: The ASUU Supreme Court has ruled in favor of imposing sanctions against the Singh Ticket due to their multiple violations of the ASUU Elections Guidelines. These violations include but are not limited to:
- Failure to show the utmost respect to other candidates;
- Acts of intimidation towards voters and candidates, including compelling active voters to vote for a particular candidate;
- Dissemination of false or misleading information regarding campaign policies, polling data, or electoral procedures;
- Non-compliance with University policies, ASUU Judicial Branch rulings, regulations set by the Elections Director, and federal/state laws;
- Disobedience of an Elections Committee decision that aligns with the ASUU Constitution, Bylaws, and Supreme Court rulings.
Sanctions Imposed:
Given the severity of the Singh Ticket’s violations, the ASUU Supreme Court has implemented the following measures:
- Recasting of Votes:
- All students who voted for the Singh Ticket will be given the opportunity to recast their vote.
- Voters may choose to cast their ballot for the ABC Ticket, the Rose Ticket, the Singh Ticket, or rescind their original vote entirely.
- Students who take no action during this re-vote will have their original vote for the Singh Ticket remain unchanged.
- Voting Period:
- The re-voting period will be open from 8:00am Wednesday, April 9th - 3:00pm Friday, April 11th.
- During this time, students who previously voted for the Singh Ticket may submit their revised vote.
- Students who voted for the ABC Ticket, the Rose Ticket, or did not originally cast a ballot at all may not participate in this re-vote. This re-vote only applies to students who originally cast their ballot for the Singh Ticket.
- Public Notice and Campaigning Restrictions:
- Beginning at 8:00am MT on Monday, April 7th, each Presidential Ticket will be permitted to make a social media post informing students about this revoting opportunity.
- Students and tickets may re-share this post as they wish on their personal and campaign social media pages throughout the re-voting period.
- The content of their posting must strictly adhere to the language approved by the Court to ensure accurate and impartial communication. No additional language or communication will be tolerated.
- All campaigning by presidential candidates is strictly prohibited during this period. Any candidate found to be engaging in campaigning during the revoting period will face immediate disqualification from the election.
- Finalization of Results:
- Once the revoting period has concluded, the final vote count will stand as the official and binding election result for the 2025 ASUU General Election.
