Description
A two-player shooting game. Two people are whisked away to a magical world and must save it from destruction using the powerful Dragon Gun.
Dragon Gun was produced by Data East in 1992.
Data East released 175 machines in our database under this trade name, starting in 1979. Data East was based in Japan.

Trivia
Japanese version features different voice acting, including Masako Nozawa from Dragon Ball.
Shares many of the staff from Cliffhanger and later Locked N Loaded. "Lungfish" served as the planner on all three games, and Hiroaki Yoshida served as composer. All three games can be thought of as one spiritual trilogy.
Conversion
Some conversions of this game to Gunhard/Locked N Loaded exist, but conversions to Dragon Gun are not as easy due to the extra sound processor required. Many of the roms on Locked N Loaded still use Dragon Gun roms; some early Locked N Loaded boards were converted to Dragon Gun.

Uses an additional OKI6295 for sound processing. The DVI mentioned on the flyer is full motion video, used to distort the background during boss fights.
Guns are connected via a miniature JAMMA edge on the board.
