​​Biorational Fungicides to Manage Cucurbit Powdery Mildew on Winter Squash in New York

Cucurbit powdery mildew (CPM) is a common disease in winter squash, and while conventional fungicides are widely used, there is a growing interest in organic alternatives due to environmental and resistance concerns. This study evaluated several biorational fungicides, with copper-based products like Kocide 3000-O proving the most effective, followed by Theia and Regalia plus Stargus. These treatments reduced disease severity, which may be used to inform CPM management practices and the development of future tools for IPM strategies.
