Gather around, cat lovers! A cat-themed cabaret is returning with a truly one-of-a-kind show in April.
Hosted by Gemma Smith, Catbaret blends together comedy, music and burlesque with a cat-themed twist. On April 24, Catbaret will host its latest show “Just ‘Kitten’ Around” at Caveat at 9:30 p.m.
The line-up includes burlesque performances by NYC performers Lady Mabuhay and Cashlee Banks, vocals by The Randy Andys and comedy by Alison Leiby. Drag artist Throb Fosse will take the stage and performer Bitsy Brulée will be performing a special piece in tribute to her own kitty, and there will be a performance from actor, comedian, and cat mom Nihara Nichelle.
Cabaret has hosted 20+ shows over six years at Caveat, as well as other venues in New York City.
Early bird tickets start at $20 until April 10, at which point the tickets will be $25 in advance. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $30, or if you can’t make it in person, live-stream tickets are available for $10. Catbaret has donated advertising space to Rescue NYC and the Cat Museum of New York City (CMNYC), a proposed institution to support cats and the people who care for them through art exhibits and cultural programming.
Those who come to the show get a free pair of cat ears and attendees can take part in an audience contest and raffle prizes from meowbox, Koneko Cat Cafe, Cats About Town Walking Tour and more.
Attendees must be 21+ year old humans. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit caveat.nyc.
