This year’s market will offer a diverse array of handmade gifts, clothing, accessories, home décor, and food prepared by local chefs, a representative of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation said.

Lindsay Greene, president and CEO of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, said the team is excited to welcome Brooklynites back to the holiday market.

“The Wallabout Wonderland Market has become a beloved tradition that we’ve proudly hosted for the past six years,” Greene said in a statement. “It has grown into a cornerstone of our community, highlighting the creativity and spirit of local artisans and entrepreneurs, especially MWBE start-ups.”

The Brooklyn Navy Yard is also partnering with The Lay Out, a community organization that supports minority- and women-owned businesses, giving local entrepreneurs a chance to grow their ventures.

“Our partnership began in 2022 with 30 of our Black-owned businesses being included in the market, and this year we are proud to provide 100 of these businesses the opportunity to get in front of holiday shoppers, making it NYC’s largest selection of Black-owned businesses at one holiday market,” said Emily Anadu, founder and CEO of The Lay Out.

From hands-on crafting activities in Maker’s Row to energetic yoga sessions at the Sports & Wellness Center, Wallabout Wonderland offers something for everyone.

Francilia Wilkins Rahim, president and CEO of AYO Labs, a market partner, said the event aims to support local businesses while fostering innovation and creativity within the community.

The event is free to the public but visitors are encouraged to RSVP in advance.

“It’s through community-oriented events like this that we can reach diverse health and beauty brands while providing access to our state-of-the-art manufacturing capacities,” Rahim said.

To ensure easy access, organizers are offering a shuttle bus service every 15 minutes from the intersection of Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue.

The Wallabout Wonderland holiday market will take place at the Brooklyn Storehouse in Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Building 293 from noon to 5 p.m. The event is free to the public but visitors are encouraged to RSVP in advance.
