Article V Convention of States - Risks and Benefits

UNITE to RESTORE and RENEW America.
I truly believe it is time for new representation in Washington. I believe we have the ability to turn this seat into a representation of righteousness in government, and I want to be part of making that happen. It is time to get rid of weak and corrupt leadership and bring moral principals back to our government. The lives and destinies that are at stake are too many to dismiss. It seems our state has been taken over by partisan and liberal leadership writing policies and laws that wreak havoc on our land and our people. The time is now - we are going to flip this seat, and I want to lead you in doing that. I started off in this Senate race as an Independent. When I was asked to run, I said yes. There were a few concerns I had over time about this trajectory. I heard many people say, "You're going to have a hard time getting elected as an Independent." True, though I need to say I respect the Independents I have gotten to know for their bravery and commitment to freedom. I found their values to be very American and straightforward, and I do respect the candidates and leaders I met through this process. For me, I was consistently drawn back to my strong moral ideals. I can not apologize for being PRO-LIFE, PRO-TRADITIONAL FAMILY and PRO-CONSTITUTION. I found myself in and around Republicans at many of the gatherings that were important to me. From the changing of the Minnesota flag without voter input to the importance of protecting children from gender mutilating surgeries at a young age , the issues and objectives I am passionate about are too important to negate. I didn't care for the inner party turmoil I'd seen among Republicans over the years. I pulled back from this to do the work in my community of starting a community-owned natural food co-op to bring life and health back to my area - I even ran as a Democrat twice because I saw the benefits of working together. Co-ops are democratically governed - not necessarily politically but in their governing structure. This model got me thinking about how pulling together with people creates something so much greater than any one of us can do on our own, and I decided to run as a Democrat. I had a lot to learn, but I still stand by the statement that we are better together, stronger-together, and we need to UNITE to RESTORE and RENEW America. What happened in Minnesota through the death of George Floyd was devastating for the people involved, and it spread across our entire nation. The devastation tore us apart as a nation, and we now remain more divided than ever in our politics, government, and our everyday lives. I believe that if what came out of Minnesota through this tragedy could bring such great pain, devastation, and destruction, then what we do to affect healing and restoration could also spread across America. The difference starts here, Minnesota. We can remain divided and stuck, or we can initiate to restore order and possibly bring renewal across our people and nation. We have a golden opportunity to bring America back together - to UNITE, RESTORE, and RENEW. These are the reasons I am running - for Minnesota, for renewal, for America.
ABOUT ME
Putting My Experience
to Work
I was born and raised in Glencoe, Minnesota - central to Minnesota's farmers, families and core values. I've been around government all my life thru family and personal political involvement. I have a heart to see renewal to our rural communities and business infrastructure in Minnesota.
I come from a long line of successful entrepreneurs. From a family owned Circus to Farming to Insurance - I have seen what it takes to blaze a trail in Minnesota. My only official job in the political world was a Congressional office internship in Washington DC in 2002.

In 2018 and '19 I organized and opened Greener Pastures Natural Food Co-op of McLeod County.
Along with the help of a few volunteers and a lot of community support, we were able to organize and sustain a growing natural foods co-op in our community as a source of education, connection and local produce. We grew our co-op ground up with no startup funds and even without the support of leaders in the industry. During this difficult time (COVID/, social, economic and political turmoil, cultural change, shortage of workers, etc) it has not been easy but it is possible.
In November 2023, we temporarily closed our doors in order to reimagine what we could be in the future. It was a tough start for us but we learned a lot thru this beginning. With more experience under our belts, we plan to come back stronger in our next phase.

What came out of Minnesota and spread across the nation in the past few years was almost unimaginable. Some of you watched with horror as the devastation and the battle tore up homes, families, communities and priceless history. The battle within our country waged on in rampant literal fire. Restrictions were imposed and mandates were placed on the American people that blindsided some of us. The racial tension, violence, outrage and destruction across our land were real to some and the feelings behind them were not to be dismissed. We have a problem in America - yet to be defined. For now we need to work together to restore our economy and our hope.

I know that we are smart and creative people in Minnesota. We have some of the best minds and resources to pull together and restore our state and lead with hope for America! I would be honored to represent the values of Minnesotans as your Senator in Washington D.C.
