Allegra Spender to push for wide-ranging tax review

Businesswoman and independent candidate Allegra Spender wants a major review to consider the competitiveness of Australia’s corporate tax rate, alongside possible reform of outdated payroll and stamp duty rules.
The former McKinsey management consultant and company director, challenging Liberal MP Dave Sharma in the blue ribbon Sydney seat of Wentworth, plans to push for a parliamentary inquiry to report before the 2023 budget.
