Dolmen

El trabajo presenta los resultados científicos de la actividad arqueológica desarrollada en el "Dolmen de Montelirio", monumento enclavado en la Zona Arqueológica de Valencina-Castilleja de Guzmán.
La Memoria ofrece la posibilidad de acercarse de forma extensa a la secuencia estratigráfica completa de este monumento, abordando desde los momentos previos
a la implantación del monumento funerario a los distintos expedientes de "expolio" documentados en el mismo, expolios caracterizados por un peculiar carácter que nos llevan a plantear la pervivencia del carácter mágico simbólico del enclave y de los objetos en el recuperados mas de un milenio después de la construcción del dolmen.
Respecto a la fase calcolítica, las conclusiones expuestas recogen  los resultados de las distintas analíticas y estudios realizados hasta aquel momento y que se compilan en el Volumen II.

Excavation of the Late Neolithic dolmen of Oberbipp BE, Steingasse in the Swiss Central Plateau provided a
unique opportunity for a comprehensive study of the archaeological and anthropological evidence. In multidisciplinary
studies, we investigated the processes at work during construction, use, and abandonment of the
megalithic structure, as well as the dietary habits, subsistence strategy, and possible mobility of the Neolithic
population. Archaeological methods included micromorphology, archaeobiology, typology, use-wear analysis,
and geology. The anthropological investigation was complemented by an analysis of stable isotope ratios and
palaeogenetics. Local topography and the cover of alluvial sediments ensured an extraordinary conservation of
the monument. It allowed the preservation of the human remains of at least 42 individuals of both sexes and all
ages. The observation of the sedimentary and post-depositional processes, supplemented by an extensive series of
radiocarbon dates, allowed us to reconstruct the history of the dolmen in its environment and the definition of at
least two deposition phases. We found genetic evidence of lactase intolerance, a local population with a mixed
ancestry of early Anatolian farmers and Western hunter-gatherers, and a crop-based diet. Sparse remains of a
nearby Late Neolithic settlement sustain the interpretation that this is the burial site of a local farming community.

Evidence of higher mobility of females and kinship over three generations solely in the paternal line suggests a virilocal community. Bone-altering pathologies support the assumption of a caring society.

We present a review of the typology, construction and the present state of the Balkan megaliths (menhirs and dolmens) using examples from Bulgaria. The dolmen field in Sakar mount. is the most uniform and preserved in Bulgarian territory and gives good examples for studying the constructive principles in building dolmens. The need of preservation and protection of these objects is discussed as well as their socialization and inserting in the touristic routes.

RIASSUNTO Si presentano dei documenti inediti dall'Archivio Blanc-Aguet di Roma. Si tratta di alcune lettere scritte nel 1958 da I.P. Capozzi a A.C. Blanc, nelle quali sono segnalate e descritte alcune possibili strutture dolmeniche ed altre tipologie di materiali archeologici rinvenute negli anni '40 in località Monte Forcino, nel territorio di Sezze (LT). Le informazioni contenute nei documenti sono di grande interesse per la ricostruzione delle presenze archeologiche nell'area, sebbene vada sottolineato come siano da considerare con le dovute cautele. ABSTRACT We present hithereto unpublished documents preserved in the Blanc-Aguet archive, in Rome. They include three letters written in 1958 by I.P. Capozzi to A.C. Blanc, describing archaeological materials and what appeared to be dolmenic structures found in the 1940s at Monte Forcino, near Sezze (Latina). This information is of great interest when seeking to reconstruct archaeological presences in this area, but should be considered with caution.
