This final year report discusses the development of a fashion collection for women inspired by the book series A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin. Martin’s fictional story does not belong to any specific location or time. However, it resembles the Middle Ages picturing castles, battlefields and a plotline involving the common components of a medieval tale.
In order to create this collection, a decoupage of the chosen characters was required, emphasizing not only their physical traits but also their psyche and behaviour. Through the decoupage, characters were situated in our reality. They were matched to different styles and consumption groups, hence generating the niche market for this collection. The main objective was to produce desirable cloth work for the niche market and even though they were inspired on fiction books, they would become detached and worn in a range of occasions.

The article aims at analyzing the uses of the European Court of Human Rights case law by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. For this end, two groups of decisions will be assessed, one related to domestic amnesties, a matter of intense adjudication by the Inter-American Court, and the other related to freedom of expression, a traditional European topic. The analysis shows that the intended progressive movement towards an uniform interpretation of the corpus iuris of international human rights law seems to give way to institutional interests and political choices undertaken by courts.
