Field today admitted to reckless driving in his Subaru sedan.
His lawyer told the court the P-plater "just wanted to get home quicker" from his girlfriend's house and described the offending as "out of character".
A prosecutor described it as "incredibly serious".
Magistrate Melissa McEwen asked Field if it was "scary" being arrested.
He said it wasn't but admitted it was a "wake up call".
"A term of imprisonment is open, but we are not at that stage," McEwen said.
