Where does running take you next?

The most glorious run. The route is absolutely breathtaking and flat which is a bonus! The event was run really well, the expo was great fun with a Gnocci party the night before, Apple strudel and lots of other goodies. The only thing that let it down ever so slightly was that there was no toilet facilities throughout the course, and no water immediately available at the finish line. Other than this, it was one hell of an experience and I would recommend to anyone.

Extremely well-organised (it even had on-the-day registration for those who couldn't make the Expo). Full road closures with marshals at every junction, despite being a relatively small, spread-out field (about 1100 in the marathon; there was also a half and a 10k). Lavishly stocked aid stations (the fresh pastries and espresso at one were unexpected). The course is flat as a flood plain, with a couple of challengingly long and straight out-and-back stretches. And Ravenna itself is well worth a visit, an easy train connection from Bologna if you're flying in.
