Ali (name)
Ali (Arabic: علي, ʿAlī) is a male Arabic name derived from the Arabic root ʕ-l-w, which literally means "high" or "elevated". It is a common name in Arab countries and the rest of the Muslim world. Islamic traditional use of the name goes back to the Islamic leader Ali ibn Abi Talib but the name is identical in form and meaning to the Hebrew: עֵלִי , Eli, which goes back to the High Priest Eli in the biblical Books of Samuel.
The name Ali also arises in other traditions. Among English-speakers as short for male and female names starting with "Al-", or the Old Norse man's name Áli. It can also be an English nickname, as a shortened form of Alexandra, Alison, Alice, Alistair, or Alexander.
Ali is also a Finnish male given name, derived from Aleksanteri.

Cho Yong-Jin (Korean: 조용진), famously known as Ali (stylized as ALi), is a South Korean singer-songwriter famous for her work on Korean pop music in the early twenty-first century. Her stage name is a motif from Muhammad Ali. This is so that it can be engraved easily by the masses. Following her debut in 2009, she is primarily known for her strong vocals and her time as a contestant on the KBS program Immortal Songs 2.
Career
Following her debut in 2009, she had already gained fame for her appearances on music shows, most notably Immortal Songs 2 on KBS2. She also worked as a professor in applied musical arts at the Seoul Technical Arts College.
ALi released her first album SOULri in December 2011 which was strangely two years after her official debut. One released track, "Na Young", garnered immediate controversy as its lyrics referenced a case of sexual assault that had been a very public case in South Korea, with many detractors criticizing the song to be insensitive to its subject. ALi would later address this controversy by revealing that she herself was a survivor of sexual assault.

Ali the Fox (Chinese: 阿狸; pinyin: Ā-lí) is a cartoon character created by Xu Han (Chinese: 徐 瀚; pinyin: Xú Hàn, known as "Hans"), who graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University and received a master’s degree. Ali is a red fox in white pants. The company controlling the character is Beijing Dream Castle Culture Co., Ltd (S: 北京梦之城文化有限公司, T: 北京夢之城文化有限公司, P: Běijīng Mèng zhī Chéng Wénhuà Yǒuxiàngōngsī).
Ali began as an internet emoticon. He began appearing on Chinese internet sites in 2006. They included QQ, Renren, Sina Weibo, and WeChat. Ali has an animated TV series and a picture book series.

Picture books
When making the picture book series, he originally wanted to adapt European fairy tales but instead decided to write the stories himself. By 2013 the Ali picture books have sold over two million copies. A promotional event for the third Ali picture book occurred in October 2013. In some cities, including Shanghai, Zhengzhou, and other cities, 2,000 signed books became sold out in fewer than three hours.
List of Sailor Moon characters
The Sailor Moon manga series features an extensive cast of characters created by Naoko Takeuchi. The series takes place in Tokyo, Japan, where the Sailor Soldiers (セーラー戦士 Sērā Senshi), a group of ten magical girls, are reincarnated to combat an assortment of antagonists attempting to take over Tokyo, the Earth and eventually, the Milky Way galaxy. Each Soldier has a transformation sequence which grants her a uniform in her own theme-colors and her own kind of elemental power; these powers come from an object called a "Sailor Crystal" said to be within each of them. The ten Soldiers are named after planets of the Solar System, with the exception of Earth. While many of the characters are humans with superhuman strength and/or magical abilities, the cast also includes anthropomorphic animals and later, extraterrestrial lifeforms.
The series follows the adventures of the titular protagonist, Sailor Moon, her lover Tuxedo Mask, and her guardians: Sailors Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus. They are later joined by Sailor Chibi Moon (Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask's daughter from the future) and four more Soldiers: Sailors Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn, who defend the Solar System from external threats. The series' antagonists include the Dark Kingdom, the Black Moon Clan, the Death Busters, the Dead Moon Circus, and Shadow Galactica.
