Kraš (Croatian pronunciation: [krâʃ]) is a Croatian food company based in Zagreb, specializing in confectionery products. In 2012, Kraš was, after Podravka, the second largest Croatian exporter of food.
The company traces its origins from two factories from the early 20th century - "Union", founded in 1911, the oldest surviving chocolate manufacturer in southeastern Europe - and "Bizjak", founded in 1923, which manufactured toast, cookies and wafers. These two companies, as well as a number of smaller confectionery manufacturers from Zagreb, merged in 1950 and took the name Kraš, in honour of Josip Kraš, a union leader and prominent Croatian communist who was killed in WWII.
The company was state-owned during SFR Yugoslavia, and privatized in 1992 into a private shareholding company with capital estimated at 135,769,000 DM. In the aftermath of Yugoslav breakup, Kraš lost two thirds of its market.
In 1997 Kraš received the ISO 9001 certificate.
The company's best known products include its line of milk chocolates now named Dorina; nougat dessert Bajadera; the candies KiKi, Bronhi, 505 sa crtom; biscuits Petit-Beurre, Napolitanke, and Domaćica; instant chocolate powder Kraš Express and the small chocolate Životinjsko Carstvo (themed animal kingdom).
Åkra is a former municipality in the traditional district of Haugaland in Rogaland county, Norway. The 33-square-kilometre (13 sq mi) municipality existed from 1892 until 1965 and it encompassed the central part of the western coast of the island of Karmøy. The administrative centre was the village of Åkrahamn.
The municipality of Aakra was established on 1 January 1892 when it was split off from the municipality of Skudenes. Initially, the new municipality had a population of 1,962. On 1 January 1965, the municipality of Åkra was dissolved due to recommendations by the Schei Committee. Åkra was merged with the neighboring municipalities of Avaldsnes, Skudenes, Stangaland, and Torvastad and with the towns of Kopervik and Skudeneshavn to form the new, larger municipality of Karmøy. Before the merger Åkra had a population of 6,008.
The Old Åkra Church (Åkra gamle kyrkje) dates back to 1821. It was built of wood and has 320 seats. The church was restored in 1852 and 1899. Rogaland Fishery Museum (Rogaland Fiskerimuseum) is situated on the harbor in Åkrahamn. It contains a restored herring works with a collection of artifacts and equipment associated with the local fishing and shipping industries.
Kra or KRA can refer to: "Key Result Areas" in corporate sectors but it also refers to following:
In Akan spirituality, the kra is the soul of a person. It is of divine origin; that is to say, one gets their "Kra" from God (Onyame).
An Akan conforms to the abusua/(Mogya (blood)) of his mother, and receives the Ntoro from his father. These maternal and paternal bonds follow the Akan wherever he/she travels. An Akan's Sunsum is their Spirit/personality which they develop through their interaction with the world.
Kra (Κʻ / ĸ) is a glyph formerly used to write the Kalaallisut language of Greenland and is now only found in Nunatsiavummiutut, a distinct Inuktitut dialect. It is visually similar to a Latin small capital letter K and the Greek letter kappa κ.
It is used to denote the sound written as [q] in the International Phonetic Alphabet (the voiceless uvular plosive). For collation purposes, it is therefore considered to be a type of q, rather than a type of k, and should sort near q.
Its Unicode code point for the lowercase form is U+0138 ĸ LATIN SMALL LETTER KRA (HTML ĸ
). If this is unavailable, q is substituted. The letter can be capitalized as Κʻ, but it is not encoded separately as a single letter because it is very similar to the Latin capital letter K followed by the six-shaped apostrophe (turned high comma ʻ).
In 1973, a spelling reform replaced the use of kra in Greenlandic with Latin small letter q (and the associated Latin capital letter Q).
Kra is a Japanese visual kei rock band.
Their music includes a variety of genres from pop, alternative, indie rock, hard rock, funk and even an influence of jazz. Kra is signed to the PS company label and made their major label debut with the single "Heart Balance" on September 21, 2006.
The band formed in August 2001, and released their first demo tape, Brise, on May 18, 2002. The following November, they signed a contract with PS Company after releasing their second demo tape, Hard Lolita.
It was announced in December 2010 that Mai would be retiring from the music business due to poor health and therefore leaving the band. His last concert with the band was on December 28 at C.C Lemon Hall.
They have covered four songs from other PS Company bands as '36481?', which is their alter ego band, in an EP called 'Fiction'.
Vile forms of Necros lie rotting my mind
Feasting like maggots - maggots in flesh
So left your ruined cortex behind
Now the maggot knows glee as it nibbles on your spine!
[Chorus:]
Maggots! Maggots!
Maggots are falling like rain!
Putrid pus-pools vomit blubonic plague
The bowels of the beast reek of puke
How to describe such vileness on the page
World maggot waits for the end of the age!
[Chorus]
Beneath a sky of maggots I walked
Until those maggots began to fall
I gaped at God to receive my gift
Bathed in maggots till the planet shit
[Repeat chorus a lot]
