Þáttr

The þættir (Old Norse singular þáttr, literally meaning a "strand" of rope or yarn<ref name=O'DONOGHUE226>O'Donoghue (2004:226).</ref>) are short stories written mostly in Iceland during the 13th and 14th centuries.

The majority of þættir occur in two compendious manuscripts, Morkinskinna and Flateyjarbók, and within them most are found as digressions within kings' sagas. Sverrir Tómasson regards those in Morkinskinna, at least, as exempla or illustrations inseparable from the narratives that contain them, filling out the picture of the kings' qualities, good and bad, as well as adding comic relief.

Íslendinga þættir

The short tales of Icelanders or Íslendinga þættir focus on Icelanders, often relating the story of their travels abroad to the court of a Norwegian king.

  • Tap Tap Revenge 2

Tap Tap Revenge 2 is an installment in the Tap Tap Series. It is a game developed and published by Tapulous for iOS. It is the sequel to Tap Tap Revenge.

    Gameplay

The game features a series of notes falling down the screen of the iPhone or iPod Touch. It is similar in gameplay to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and is controlled via touching the notes, or shaking the device left, right, or back when an arrow is displayed. There are five difficulty levels: Kids, Easy, Medium, Hard, and Extreme. In Kids mode, players can tap anywhere on the screen while the note is in the strike zone to score, and can never lose a note streak. This feature was introduced with Tap Tap Christmas with Weezer.

    Online mode

In 2010, Tapulous shut down its servers for online mode, in an effort to migrate users to Tap Tap Revenge 3.

Stars that were previously available in online mode with achievement of scores consist of the following:

  • 1400 = 1 Star
  • 1800 = 2 Star
  • 2200 = 3 Star
  • 2600 = Flaming Star
  • New features

In Tap Tap Revenge 2, a variety of new features were introduced. In the song select screen, there is now album artwork. Also, players can import songs from premium games in the Tap Tap series. However, players can not import boss songs from Lady Gaga Revenge and Tap Tap Coldplay. Also, there are more advertisements and an achievement section, named "Career". The songs imported from premium games have themes.

    Tap Tap

Tap Tap was a series of rhythm games by Tapulous available for the iOS of which several versions, both purchasable and free, have been produced. The goal of the game is to tap each of the colored balls when they reach a line at the bottom of the screen. If the ball is hit on the beat, the player gains points, but if not, it counts as a miss. If a player taps the screen without a tapper on the beat, the streak will go back to 0 and a few points will be lost except for 16x. There are also "shakes", which require the player to move the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to the right, left, or backwards. The franchise had over thirty-five million downloads as of July 1, 2010.

    Games

To date there are 23 games in the Tap Tap series of games, 18 which are artist-specific. Apps with an import section allows players to import songs and in most cases, themes into Tap Tap Revenge 3. Songs in a shaded box denote a 'boss track'.

    Tap Tap Revenge

The first game in the series, Tap Tap Revenge, was created and developed by Tapulous, a startup company at the time of release. The - Tap Tap Tap, Bunkohead - In My Arms and DJ Mile - Sololuna are the basic tracks in this game
