College Girl (Hindi: कॉलेज गर्ल) is a 1960 Hindi black-and-white romantic family film written by K. A. Narayan and directed by T. Prakash Rao. The film starred Shammi Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala in the lead with Om Prakash, Tabassum, Nana Palsikar, Raj Mehra, Purnima, Randhir, Achala Sachdev, Leela Mishra and Mohan Choti forms an ensemble cast. The film was produced by B. L. Rawal with his own banner, Rawal Films. The film's score was composed by Shankar Jaikishan duo with lyrics provided by Rajendra Krishan, edited by Pran Mehra and was filmed by Dharam Chopra.

Plot

In India, girls from their very birth are taken for liability upon their parents; thus the mothers of the nation are looked down in their own houses. Kamala represents such afflicted Indian girlhood. She is the daughter of Judge Ram Pershad who is illiterate and has orthodox views about girls. She stands first in the Matriculation Examination and has an ardent desire for studying in college in order to become a doctor. Judge Ram Pershad is totally against college education for girls. It is his faith that any money spent on the sons alone is money well-spent merely because they are sons and will stand by him in his old age. Kamala is determined not to bow before injustice but to secure her rightful place in society. She makes an all out bid to join college with the contrivance of Dr. Ratanlal, a close friend of her father. In college she come across Shyam who helps her in many difficult situations.

College Girl is a 1990 Bollywood movie starring Amita Nangia, Pankaj Berry, Veerendra Singh, Pramod Moutho, Ajit Vachani, Sudhir Pandey, Vidyashree and Rajani Bala. The movie was directed by Surendra Gupta.

Plot

Madhuri, Vicky and Akash study together in college. Akash, whose father is a minister, tries to woo her but she falls for Akash. Vicky introduces her to drugs through another girl. She becomes an addict. Akash contests against Vicky in the student elections and wins. Furious Vicky rapes Madhuri. Her brother blames her and is reluctant to file a police complaint. Her sister-in-law, however, decides to go to police when Akash assures to stand by Madhuri. The police inspector tips off the minister before registering the case. The minister tries to persuade her not to go ahead with the complaint but when she rebuffs him go on to rape her too and get both her and her husband killed. The court too absolves Vicky of the charge. Madhuri, with the help of Akash, takes revenge by taking on Vikcy, the minister and their accomplices, one by one.
