19 You + Me

"19 You + Me" is the title a debut song by American country music duo Dan + Shay. It was released in October 2013 as the first single from their debut album for Warner Bros. Records. The album, Where It All Began, was released on April 1, 2014. The song was written by Dan + Shay and Danny Orton. It received 59 adds in its first week at country radio, becoming the most added debut single of 2013.

Critical reception

The song received a positive review from Taste of Country which praised the "warm details" and "emotion." It said that "young artists aren’t often able to tell stories as effectively as those with a little more age, but Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney can count on vivid lyrics to help them through." It went on to say that "the instrumentation is country with pop leanings" and "they add some missing sensitivity to the current landscape."

Music video

The music video was directed by Brian Lazzaro and shot in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in which they mention Myrtle Beach in the song. Some of the locations they shot at were the Fun Plaza arcade on Ocean Blvd and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

You & Me (The Flirts song)

"You & Me" is a 1985 single by The Flirts, a vocal trio based in New York. The single, taken from their album "Blondes, Brunettes, and Redheads," was produced by Bobby Orlando, the creator/founder of the group, and shared co-writing credits with Clifton "Jiggs" Chase. The featured vocalists on this single were Tricia Wygal, Debra "Debbie" Gaynor, and Christina Criscione.

Background

In the United States, the single was a number-one hit on the dance chart for one week, thanks in part to a remix by Shep Pettibone and fueled by a music video that featured the trio in a "Rags to Riches" themed setting. The video featured a Billboard headline proclaiming "The Flirts Are Hits," but "You & Me", along the rest of The Flirts' releases, failed to cross over to the other charts.

    Tokyo

Tokyo (東京 Tōkyō, "Eastern Capital") (Japanese: [toːkjoː], English /ˈtki./), officially Tokyo Metropolis (東京都 Tōkyō-to), is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan, and is both the capital and largest city of Japan. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo is in the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Formerly known as Edo, it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters. It officially became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府 Tōkyō-fu) and the city of Tokyo (東京市 Tōkyō-shi).

    Tokyo (Athlete song)

"Tokyo" is a song by English indie rock band Athlete and is the third track on their 2007 album Beyond the Neighbourhood. The song was released as the second single from that album on November 19, 2007 (see 2007 in British music). The song charted at #198 making it Athlete's lowest charting single to date, partly due to a lack of promotion, and partly due to UK Chart guidelines discounting sales of the EP version (thus only sales of the 7" were counted).

    You & Me

    by: Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise

You & me, gonna live so happily
You and I, family, two kids, maybe three
I know there's going to be some stormy weather
We cross the bridge of life when we all stuck together
We gonna rise up like a ashes from the fire
We gonna live forever beyond the day we die
Oh baby, you & me, gonna live so happily
You and I, family, two kids, maybe three
We gonna have some good times in the park
Love in the afternoon, chilling in the dark
We gonna climb up to the mountain on high
Our love will last forever beyond the day we die
    Oh baby, you & me
Oh baby, you & me, gonna live so happily
You and I, family, two kids, maybe three
We gonna have a good time together
No matter what comes, stormy weather
I'm gonna love you, woman, all night long
