Music career [link]

Karin Park had a big hit in Norway with the album and the single Superworldunknown which won a Norwegian Grammy for "Best Newcomer" and was also nominated as "the best Norwegian song of all time" by the radio channel p3 and the magazine Spirit.

Park has always been noted for her characteristic voice, but her music has developed from a light pop to a deep, alternative electro with darker lyrics in a collaboration with Datarock’s Fredrik Saroea on her third album Ashes To Gold (2009).[1]

Karin Park has continued to develop the alternative beat driven, industrial pop electronica in England, where she, in 2010, signed a new deal with the Portsmouth label State Of The Eye. There she started working on a new set of songs with her brother David Park and the young producer Barry Barnett. Co-produced and mixed by Christoffer Berg (The Knife and Fever Ray) the single ”Tiger Dreams” was released in August 2011.

Tiger Dreams was followed by Tiger dreams EP in September 2011 and a new album called ”Highwire Poetry” will be released April 2012.

Karin Park has performed live together with her brother David Park since 2004.

She lives together with Kjetil Nernes, lead-singer of the norwegian noiserock/metal band Årabrot.[citation needed]

Acting career [link]

She had also a lead role in the Pål Øie movie Hidden, which will run at the After Dark Horrorfest.[2]

    Critical reception

You & I (One Direction song)

"You & I" is a song recorded by British boy band One Direction, taken from their third studio album Midnight Memories (2013). It was written by Julian Bunetta, John Ryan and Jamie Scott, with production being handled by Julian Bunetta and John Ryan. "You & I" was released as the album's fourth and final single, first impacting US contemporary hit radio on 15 April 2014 by Columbia Records and later being released in Europe on 23 May 2014. An EP containing a remix created by band member Liam Payne was also released.

"You & I" is a soft rock ballad. It received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who named it a "cinematic", "elegant" and more "grown-up" ballad. Commercially, the song managed to reach the top forty in most countries, while it reached the top twenty in the UK and top ten in Ireland. A music video for the song caused controversy due to the 'freeze' on screen being similar to the music video from Australian band Clubfeet. The video won a Brit Award in 2015.
