Nathaniel "Nat" Adderley (November 25, 1931 – January 2, 2000) was an American jazz cornet and trumpet player who played in the hard bop and soul jazz genres. He was the brother of saxophonist Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, whom he remained very close to in his career but whose shadow Nat followed in for most of his life.
Nat Adderly's "Work Song" is a jazz standard which also became a success on the pop charts after singer Oscar Brown, Jr. wrote lyrics for the tune.
Nat Adderley was born in Tampa, Florida, but moved to Tallahassee, Florida, when both parents were hired to teach at Florida A&M University. His father had played trumpet professionally in his younger years, and he initially passed down his trumpet to Cannonball. When Cannonball picked up the alto saxophone, he passed the trumpet on to Nat who began playing in 1946. He and Cannonball played with Ray Charles in the early 1940s in Tallahassee, among other amateur gigs they played around the area.
Nat ended up attending Florida University, majoring in sociology with a minor in music. He officially switched to cornet in 1950, and he never turned back. From 1951-1953, he enlisted in the army. He played in the army band under his brother during this time, taking at least one tour of Korea before returning to a station in the United States. Upon return, Nat attended Florida A&M with the hopes of becoming a teacher.
"You Got It" is a song from Roy Orbison's album, Mystery Girl (1989). The song reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the adult contemporary chart, returning Orbison to the Top 10 for the first time in 25 years. It also reached No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart in early 1989, posthumously released after Orbison's death of a heart attack on December 6, 1988. While "You Got It" was Orbison's last hit single in the U.S., the single, "I Drove All Night", made No. 7 on the UK charts in 1992. In addition, it was his only solo Top 10 hit on the Hot Country Songs charts, peaking at #7. Although it is an Orbison solo single, Orbison's fellow Traveling Wilburys bandmates, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne, co-wrote the song and played instruments on the record.
Orbison gave his only public rendition of the hit at the Diamond Awards Festival in Antwerp, Belgium on November 19, 1988. This footage was incorporated into the song's music video. A 2014 version incorporated videos of rehearsal and practice sessions.

Baby It's Me is a 1977 album released by American singer Diana Ross on the Motown label that peaked at #18 on the Billboard Top 200 and #7 on the R&B album chart. The album was produced by producer Richard Perry. The LP yielded one Top 40 hit, "Gettin' Ready for Love", reaching number 27 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Other charting singles released from the album include "You Got It" and "Your Love is so Good for Me," the latter receiving a Grammy nomination.
Adult Contemporary drove the success of this album, with both "Gettin' Ready for Love" (#8) and "You Got It" (#9) being Top 10 hits, while the newly formed Billboard Dance charts ranked "Your Love is so Good For Me" Top 15. Although this album never made the UK charts it was certified Silver for UK sales in excess of 60,000 copies.
Ross would continue to work with Perry including on her pairing with international vocalist, Julio Iglesias on their duet, "All of You" several years later.
