Ymir

In Norse mythology, Ymir, Aurgelmir, Brimir, or Bláinn is the ancestor of all jötnar. Ymir is attested in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional material, in the Prose Edda, written by Snorri Sturluson in the 13th century, and in the poetry of skalds. Taken together, several stanzas from four poems collected in the Poetic Edda refer to Ymir as a primeval being who was born from venom that dripped from the icy rivers Élivágar and lived in the grassless void of Ginnungagap. Ymir birthed a male and female from the pits of his arms, and his legs together begat a six-headed being. The gods Odin, Vili and Vé fashioned the Earth (elsewhere personified as a goddess; Jörð) from his flesh, from his blood the ocean, from his bones the hills, from his hair the trees, from his brains the clouds, from his skull the heavens, and from his eyebrows the middle realm in which mankind lives, Midgard. In addition, one stanza relates that the dwarfs were given life by the gods from Ymir's flesh and blood (or the Earth and sea).

20 Million Miles to Earth

20 Million Miles to Earth is a 1957 American black-and-white science fiction giant monster film written by Bob Williams and Christopher Knopf from an original treatment by Charlotte Knight. The film was produced by Charles H. Schneer's Morningside Productions for Columbia Pictures and directed by Nathan H. Juran. As with several other Schneer-Columbia collaborations, it was developed to showcase the stop-motion animation talents of Ray Harryhausen.

Plot

Off the coast of a small Sicilian fishing village, two fishermen watch in amazement as a spaceship pierces the skies and crashes into the sea. The men, Mondello (Don Orlando) and Verrico (George Khoury), row out to the site and pull two space travelers from the capsized craft before it shudders and sinks into the sea. Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., General A. D. McIntosh (Thomas Browne Henry) discovers that the government's missing spacecraft, piloted by Col. Bob Calder (William Hopper), has been located off the coast of Italy. As McIntosh flies to Italy, Pepe (Bart Braverman), a little boy who lives in the fishing village of Gerra, finds a metal capsule that has washed up on the beach. Upon opening the capsule, he finds a jelly-like glob inside and sells it to Dr. Leonardo (Frank Puglia), a visiting zoologist who is studying sea creatures. Meanwhile, Leonardo's medical-student granddaughter Marisa (Joan Taylor) is summoned to town to take care of the injured Calder and his companion, Dr. Sharman. When Calder regains consciousness, he finds Sharman in the last throes of the fatal disease that decimated his crew.

    All I Have

    by: Amerie

    I feel so unsure
    Trembling you open your door
    Your eyes glistening
Silly me I'm already missing you
And this is all I have (All I have)
    All I have to give
    All I have to give
    This one last kiss
    I know it's not enough
Though our love will never end (no)
    One more touch
    Is all I have
    All I have
You said that we'd forever be in love
And you showed me life like I never knew
Things I never even dreamed of
But your smile just don't seem the same
And when you tell me you feel it too
I'm not sure who's to blame
    Cause I gave everything
And this is all I have (All I have)
All I have to give (To give)
All I have to give (To give you)
This one last kiss (This one last kiss)
I know it's not enough (oh, oh)
Though our love will never end (yeah, hey)
    One more touch (whoa)
    Is all I have
    All I have
    I can't believe
    I can't believe (I can't believe)
    This love is leaving me
Love is leaving me (no, no, no)
    And I can't believe (I can't believe)
What we've come to be (what we've come to be baby)
What we've come to be (whoa)
And I wish I could make it like it used to be
Can't believe I'm through loving you
And Your through loving me, you
And in the middle of my final tears
You call out my name, my name
    You cried out my name
But it could never be the same
Cause this is all I have
And this is all I have (oh)
    All I have to give
    All I have to give
This one last kiss (Your smile don't seem the same)
I know it's not enough (oh)
Though our love will never end (yeah, yeah, yeah)
    One more touch (hey)
    Is all I have
All I have (Why you lookin at me)
And this is all I have (Why you lookin at me)
All I have to give (I don't know)
All I have to give (I don't know who's to blame)
This one last kiss (In this situation baby)
I know it's not enough (oh)
Though our love will never end (oh no)
    One more touch (no no)
    Is all I have
