Xu Yifan

Xu Yifan (Chinese: 徐一幡, born 8 August 1988 in Tianjin) is a Chinese female professional tennis player playing on the ITF and WTA Women's Circuits. She reached her highest WTA (Women's Tennis Association) Singles ranking of No.148 on 13 July 2015. She also reached her current and highest WTA (Women's Tennis Association) Doubles ranking of No.27 in the world as of 01 February 2016. She was a finalist in Women's Doubles at the 2008 China Open in Beijing, and Quarterfinalist at the 2014 US Open in Women's Doubles. And most recently she was a semi-finalist at the 2016 Australian Open in Women's Doubles with Zheng Saisai. They are currently the No. 3 WTA Women's Doubles Team as of 01 February 2016.

2011

Xu posted good results at the 2011 Guangzhou International Women's Open where she fought her way from the qualifying draw unseeded, defeating 7th seed Wang Qiang and 10th seed Chan Chin-Wei to qualify. In the first round, she lost to Mandy Minella.

2014

On 2 September 2014, Xu made it to the Quarter Finals in Women's Doubles at the 2014 US Open, where she defeated the 6th seeded team Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears, and the 11th seeded team Lucie Hradecká and Michaëlla Krajicek before her partner Zarina Diyas retired.
