WXCY
WXCY (103.7 FM) is a radio station in Havre de Grace, Maryland, USA. It serves the listeners along the I-95 corridor from Wilmington, DE to Baltimore, MD. The station's format is country music.
History
WXCY celebrated its 25th year of operation in 2014. The original sign-on date was March 1, 1989 and the station has maintained the same format the entire stretch. Before changing calls, WXCY was WHDG, which also had a country format. WHDG and sister station WASA 1330 AM were located on Maryland Route 155 north of Havre de Grace. WHDG signed on sometime in the late 1970s. Prettyman Broadcasting purchased 103.7 WHDG in 1988 and took the station dark while rebuilding tower and broadcast facilities. 103.7 WXCY would debut in early 1989. Delmarva Broadcasting purchased WXCY from Prettyman Broadcasting in the late 90's and continues to own and operate it.

Recent Arbitron ratings show WXCY as the #1 rated country station amongst listeners 12 years old and older in Eastern Maryland and Northern Delaware including the Wilmington Arbitron metro counties of New Castle, DE; Cecil, MD and Salem, NJ. With a signal good enough to cover 4 states, WXCY also has significant listenership from the counties of Harford, MD; Kent, MD; Kent, DE; Chester, PA; Lancaster, PA; York, PA and Baltimore, MD.
