Wrathchild (sometimes known as Wrathchild UK in the United States due to a naming conflict with Wrathchild America) are an English heavy metal band. Formed in 1980, the group was an early band of the glam metal genre, starting off about the same time as bands of the genre such as Mötley Crüe. They are indeed the "Godfathers" of the glam/sleaze metal movement back in the early 80s.

In their home country, the band's speciality was in its D.I.Y. aesthetic (common for many NWOBHM bands), over the top stage shows, and striking image. During their early days, they would often play in pubs but still used confetti, pyrotechnics, and dressed in full glam metal gear, including their trademark platform boots and huge, teased hair.

History

Wrathchild was formed in 1980 in Evesham, England by Marc Angel and Philip Vokins. They recruited Rocky Shades for lead vocals, and Brian Parry on drums. Phil Vokins left in 1981 to join Bill Ward (Black Sabbath) in America with the new band Max Havoc, and Brian Parry left, too.

Killers (Iron Maiden album)

Killers is the second album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on 2 February 1981 in the UK, and 6 June 1981 in the US. The album was their first with guitarist Adrian Smith and their last with vocalist Paul Di'Anno, who was sacked after problems with his stage performance arose due to his alcohol and cocaine use. This was also the first Iron Maiden album made with veteran producer Martin Birch, who went on to produce their next eight albums before retiring after Fear of the Dark in 1992.

The song "Wrathchild" is the only regularly played track from the album, appearing in almost all their concert tours. The song was covered in 2003 by British metal band Sikth and featured as a b-side on their single "Scent of the Obscene". The song was also covered in 2005 by female tribute band The Iron Maidens on their 2007 album Route 666 and again in 2008 by Gallows on the tribute CD Maiden Heaven: A Tribute to Iron Maiden released by Kerrang! magazine. "Wrathchild" was featured in the PlayStation 2 game Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s.

Killers is a French traditional heavy metal group from Bardos, Pyrénées-Atlantiques and founded in 1983 by Bruno Dolheguy, while guitarist rhythm. Killers is one of the few French bands formed in the 1980s still active. Killers sing their songs in French but did one album with English lyrics in 2001 (Killing Games) (2001), which is an English-language version of their 2001 album Mauvaises Graines

Killers started a Speed metal band whose members included Bruno Dolheguy (rhythm guitar), Patrice LeCalvez (vocals), Didier Depoffe (guitars), Pierre Paul (bass)

Early years (1985–1986)

Killers released their debut album "Fils De La Haine" (Son Of Hate) 1985. released 1985 in France with original band members, witch features, songs Rosalind, Killers, Au Nom Du Rock'n' Roll and second album, Danger De Vie (Danger Of Life) 1986, released in France also with original members features, songs, Heavy Metal Kids, La Assassin, Délire De Mort, Bruno DOLHEGUY is the only "survivor" of KILLERS Mark 1... He used to play rhythm guitar in the early years (1984) when KILLERS was a five guys' band from Bayonne (famous city of the Basque country in the southern part of France, on the Atlantic coast, by the Spanish border). Bruno began to sing later. KILLERS recorded two Lps with the early line-up: "FILS DE LA HAINE" (1985), "DANGER DE VIE" (1986) but two years later the all band stopped KILLERS and Bruno DOLHEGUY decided to continue on his way with new pals.

Killers (2000 film)

Killers is a short BBC film written by David Eldridge and directed by Mike Wadham.

Part of the drama lab series on BBC Three, Killers is set in a house in east London in which a group of lads are having a party. It looks at the relationships between young lads and how those relationships change when a female is added to the equation. Overseen by Tony Jordan, it stars Roland Manookian, Brooke Kinsella and Thomas Aldridge.
