A*M*E

Aminata Kabba (born 13 December 1994), better known as A*M*E, is a British singer-songwriter. A*M*E was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone on 13 December 1994. In 2011, Kabba was scouted and signed by Take That frontman Gary Barlow to his label, Future Records.

On 9 December 2012 the BBC announced that A*M*E had been nominated for the Sound of 2013 poll.

In January 2013 A*M*E signed to Sony Music's Epic Records after Barlow closed Future Records to focus on his own career commitments. Her single Need U, a collaboration with Duke Dumont and MNEK, topped the UK singles chart on 7 April 2013.

Biography

1994–2011: Early life

At the age of eight, Kabba moved to the United Kingdom after her mother's hair salon was burned to the ground and life in Sierra Leone became too dangerous. Growing up in the Catford area of southeast London, Kabba formed her own playground version of American group Destiny's Child, named Independent Girls; before realising that—much like Beyoncé Knowles—she preferred the spotlight solely on her. From there she joined the Sedgehill School choir, taking lead on choral renditions of songs by Rihanna and Justin Timberlake, before being introduced to fellow teenage prodigy, MNEK. The pair bonded over a mutual love of 90s pop and started collaborating, quickly creating a handful of songs including "City Lights". The track was enough to pique the interest of Take That frontman Gary Barlow, who proceeded to sign her to his Future record label.

The Mže (Czech pronunciation: [ˈm̩ʒɛ]; German: Mies) is a 107 km long river in the Czech Republic. Its source is situated in the Griesbach Forest (726 metres), Germany, near the village of Asch, in the municipality of Mähring, Tirschenreuth district. It forms the state boundary for a short distance of 3 kilometers and then finally enters Czech territory. It passes through the towns of Tachov and Stříbro. At the confluence with the Radbuza, it forms the Berounka in Pilsen. Its major left affluent is Hamerský potok and the right affluent is Úhlava. Work Out

Work Out in the Zone (previously known as Work Out) is an American reality television series on Bravo, which premiered on July 19, 2006. The show is centered on fitness trainers and models located in the many cities of California. The first three seasons featured many of the trainers who work for fitness trainer Jackie Warner, and some other aspects of the gym and its clients as well as Warner's other fitness ventures, and private life. The third season of Work Out ended on June 10, 2008, and was subsequently canceled. A fourth season is currently held in production, with eight different trainers cast for the show. Warner, will not return for the fourth season, after the network was not pleased with her interaction with the other trainers. The fourth season, which revamped the show's concept, mainly featured top fitness model and former army ranger Greg Plitt, who was the only cast member to return from the previous season.

In 2003, fitness expert Jackie Warner opened Sky Sport and Spa. On July 19, 2006, the Bravo network aired the first episode of Work Out (developed following Jackie's appearance on Jonathan Antin's Bravo reality series Blow Out). The show follows the day-to-day routine of Jackie and shows all of the drama that goes on behind the scenes in keeping a business afloat, while juggling her own personal life, as well as dealing with the personal issues of those who work for her as trainers.

"Work Out" is a song by American hip hop recording artist and record producer J. Cole, and released as the lead single from his debut studio album Cole World: The Sideline Story (2011).The song was officially released on June 27, 2011 through Roc Nation and Columbia. Nas voiced his displeasure with the song and inspired Cole to create the song "Let Nas Down" on his Born Sinner . It samples the chorus from "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul, Abdul would later sample "Work Out" for her song "Dream Medley."

Background

J. Cole released "Work Out" on June 15, 2011, in honor of the second anniversary of his highly acclaimed mixtape The Warm Up. The song, produced by Cole himself, samples "The New Workout Plan" by Kanye West and interpolates "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul. The song is featured as a bonus track on Cole World: The Sideline Story.

Music video

The music video, shot in Brooklyn, New York, was directed by Clifton Bell. The video depicts J. Cole playing basketball, when a girl (Bernice Burgos) catches his eye and he begins to try to win her over. At the end, it went reversed.
