Namco Tales Studio

Namco Tales Studio Ltd. (株式会社ナムコ・テイルズスタジオ, Kabushiki-gaisha Namuko Teiruzu Sutajio), formerly known as Wolf Team ((株)ウルフチーム, Urufu Chīmu) (or Wolfteam), was a Japanese video game development company founded in 1986. The company was renamed in 2003 when Telenet Japan sold part of its stake and made Namco the majority shareholder. Namco Tales Studio was originally the primary developer of the Tales RPG series, as it had been since the series' beginning. In November 21, 2011, it was announced that the current Tales Studio would be dissolved and would merge with their publisher, Bandai Namco Games. On February 24, 2012, it was announced that the 80 people of the Tales team would join Bandai Namco Studios.

History

Originally headed by Masahiro Akishino, Wolf Team became independent from Telenet in 1987, was reintegrated in 1990 and got merged with another Telenet subsidiary called Lasersoft, then was completely absorbed in an internal restructuring at Telenet in 1993 at which point most of the staff left together with Akishino.

Aeria Games, formerly known as Aeria Games and Entertainment, is an online game publisher. The corporate headquarters is based in Berlin, Germany.

Aeria Games, a subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media, operates an Internet gaming portal for massively multiplayer online games. It focuses on online games in multiple formats, client games, browser games, and mobile games. It publishes games for the North America, South America, and Europe. Aeria Games does not develop any games directly; it licenses games from developers in other regions.

Aeria Games acquired ijji on January 5, 2012.

The company also merged with Gamepot in late 2012.

In February 2014, all its worldwide PC games business including its subsidiary Aeria Games Europe GmbH were sold to ProSiebenSat.1 Media.

Its games are free-to-play and use a micropayment system to generate revenue (in-game item malls and advertising).

Aeria Games has many highly priced store products. For example, their anime-themed MMORPG Grand Fantasia had a 300% EXP boost for approximately $87.00 of Aeria Points(the site's currency).
