Timon and Pumbaa

Timon and Pumbaa are an animated meerkat and warthog duo introduced in Disney's popular 1994 animated film The Lion King. Timon was portrayed through his many appearances by Nathan Lane (in all three films and early episodes of the show), Max Casella (the original actor in The Lion King Broadway musical), Kevin Schon (in certain episodes of the show), Quinton Flynn (in certain episodes of the show), Bruce Lanoil in the Wild About Safety shorts and Kingdom Hearts II, while Pumbaa is voiced by Ernie Sabella (in all of his animated speaking appearances), and was portrayed by Tom Alan Robbins in the original cast of the Broadway musical. Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella first came to audition for the roles of the hyenas, but when the producers saw how well they worked together they decided to cast them as Timon and Pumbaa. Lyricist Tim Rice however was pulling for Rik Mayall (for Timon) and Adrian Edmondson (for Pumbaa) to play the roles, as he got the idea for the lyrics to "Hakuna Matata" by watching their show Bottom.

"Without" is the debut single from half-English, half-Italian solo singer Jack Savoretti taken from his debut album, Between the Minds.

"Without" was the first release on De Angelis Records, the label set up by Anne Barrett. The track went onto the Radio 2 B list on the same day that Jack played his media showcase at the prestigious London club Ronnie Scott’s.

It spent a total of two weeks in the UK Singles Chart, debuting at number 90 then falling to 180 a week later.

Music video

The video, filmed in Majorca, Spain, was directed by Oscar-nominated director Bobby Garabedian and was played across the music channels through October.

Without is a 2011 American independent film directed by Mark Jackson and starring Joslyn Jensen, Ronald Carrier, and Darren Lenz. The plot concerns a young woman (Jensen) caretaking a house and looking after the wheelchair bound grandfather (Carrier) of an absent family on a sparsely populated Washington State island. The local handyman (Lenz) starts to take an interest. The film premiered in January 2011 at the Slamdance Film Festival.
