Will Taylor

Will Taylor, (1853–1941) was a land speculator and the founder of North Bend, Washington in February 1889.

William H. Taylor was born in Iowa on February 12, 1853 to a large family. In 1872 his family moved to the Snoqualmie Valley. William Taylor took a job peeling potatoes and washing dishes in the cookhouse at the Newcastle coal mines, near Issaquah. After that, he went to Fall City to help clear land. Later he worked as logger near the mouth of the Skykomish River.

He returned to the upper Snoqualmie Valley to work for Lucinda Fares. Later, he worked for Lucinda's uncle, Jerimiah Borst, the father of the Snoqualmie Valley. He built several cabins and worked odd jobs.

In 1876, he moved to California to work a short stint in a mine. He married Molly Beard and he and his new wife traveled north to work on Borst's farm for six years. Later, they built their own home, a boarding house and a trading post for travelers passing over the Snoqualmie Pass. They raised six children. In the 1890s, the Taylors separated. Will Taylor then remarried Ella Hyman, who was a widow with one daughter.

Will Taylor (rugby union)

Will Taylor (born 4 March 1991) is a Welsh rugby union player. A prop forward, he plays club rugby for Wasps having previously played for the Ospreys regional team.

On 25 March 2015, Taylor returns home as he signed for Welsh region Scarlets ahead of the 2015/16 season.

Will Taylor (musician)

Will Taylor (born November 30, 1968) is a violist, violinist, arranger, composer, music producer and guitarist and from Austin, Texas. He is the founder of the groups Will Taylor & Strings Attached and The Jazz Menagerie.

Early life

Taylor graduated from Austin High School. He then attended the Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin.

Career

Taylor is one of few viola players in jazz. He began his career playing jazz fusion in clubs on 6th Street in Austin, Texas during his college years. After that, he worked with Eddie Harris and the Turtle Island Quartet. Additionally, he has spent 23 years playing with the Austin Lyric Opera. He also spent time doing solo work, releasing three albums: Reel Life (1993, Amazing), Simple Gifts (1995, Igmod), and Live from Austin (1996, Cymekob, Inc.) The three albums received airtime on National Public Radio stations.

Will Taylor and Strings Attached

In 1999, Taylor began collaborating extensively with other Austin artists. Most of the collaborations were jazz, although some were considered more pop. He began collaborating regularly with different artists, but often bringing in the same people. These people eventually formed under the band name Will Taylor & Strings Attached.

Will Taylor (footballer)

Will Taylor (1 July 1911 – 12 July 1999) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
