Power was born in Toowoomba, Queensland. The son of open wheel racer Bob Power, Will Power started his career in Queensland driving a Datsun 1200 at Morgan Park Raceway, Warwick as well as at Carnel Raceway, Stanthorpe. In 1999 Power began driving an ageing family-owned Swift SC92F in the Queensland Formula Ford Championship, winning races in a sporadic campaign. In 2000 Power ran a full campaign leading to his first title in the Swift while simultaneously racing a late-model Spectrum 07 on the Australian Formula Ford Championship, finishing a promising seventh. Still running a small family-oriented team in 2001, Power upgraded to a Stealth RF95, a Western Australian modification of a 1995 Van Diemen. Power finished second in the series behind the factory-supported Van Diemen driver, Will Davison.
"Pop the Trunk" was originally released, with a music video, on July 27, 2010 as a single to promote his previous mixtape Trunk Muzik; and has since been re-released as the lead single in Yelawolf's EP Trunk Muzik 0-60. The reason this particular song was chosen to be included on his official release was because he wanted to include 5 "fan favorites" in addition to 7 new songs, as this track is indeed one of—if not the—most well-known song by Yelawolf to date. The song's concept revolves around life in Gadsden, Alabama and the environment that the artist grew up in, as Yelawolf is essentially just describing his surroundings and different events he's witnessed. Yelawolf described in an interview that this track was actually the first one he wrote for Trunk Muzik, and the first verse was basically a nod to his stepfather that raised him. The title of the song refers to a popular slang term which involves retrieving a firearm from the trunk of one's automobile.
In January of 2010, “McCarter Theatre Center” premiered "Fetch Clay, Make Man". The play focuses on the relationship between “Muhammad Ali”, the famous boxer, and “Stepin Fetchit”, an African-American actor, on the eve of Ali’s 1965 defense of his heavyweight championship against “Sonny Liston”.
Will Power, (Chinese: 法外風雲) is the 2013 TVB Anniversary drama. It premiered on October 14, 2013.
