Wigmund was consecrated in 837 and died in 854.

Wigmund (bishop)

Wigmund was a medieval Bishop of Dorchester.

He was consecrated circa 901 and died circa 904.

There is some confusion between Wigmund and another bishop, Wilferth. The surviving charters do not explicitly specify which was bishop of where. There is therefore also a possibility that it was Wilferth who was bishop of Dorchester, and Wigmund bishop of Lichfield.
