"Wiggle It" is a song performed by Australian singer-songwriter, Ricki-Lee Coulter. The single features Australian rapper, Samir.[1] It was co-written by Coulter, George Morel, Rafael Vargas and Israel Cruz, who also produced the song.[2][3] Released both physically and digitally on 13 September 2008[4][5] "Wiggle It" serves as the lead single from Coulter's compilation album, Ricki-Lee: The Singles.

Coulter co-wrote "Wiggle It" with Israel Cruz in 2006.[3] She explained, "I was disappointed when "Wiggle It" didn’t work on my last album, so I’m beyond THRILLED to be finally getting this single out to my fans."[3] The song features a chorus sample from the 1990s hit "Wiggle It" by American hip hop duo, 2 in a Room.[6] It was serviced to Australian radio stations on 4 August 2008.[7]

The music video for "Wiggle It" was shot at the Valve Nightclub in Melbourne. It is a parody of the typical club video, with Coulter looking for someone to spend her night with and coming up only with a number of characters who are all wrong for her. The video features a cameo appearance by 2006 Big Brother contestant David Graham who is seen wearing skin-tight gold pants.[8] It premiered on Video Hits on 30 August 2008.[8]

Wiggle It (2 in a Room song)
"Wiggle It" is a freestyle/hip house and anti-drunk-driving-themed song that was recorded by the American duo 2 in a Room. The single was the act's second release from the 1990 album Wiggle It and is to date the act's only big hit.
Background
The song is, of course, about dancing and partying, but at the same time also contains a serious message encouraging people not to drink and drive, urging everyone to dance it off for a while and those who will be driving to stay sober (even if they are tempted to drink). This can be found in the song's subliminal lyrics ("...Let your body go as you listen, Let it flow to your system, It'll take control of your mind, And make you move your behind..." and "...But don't drink it, If you're driving, Word 'em up, y'all, I ain't jiving").
The single reached the number one position on Billboard's Dance Club Play chart and number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1990. It also reached number 3 in the UK and Australia. The single earned the duo a gold single in the United States and a silver in the UK.
