Barry Walters of Spin wrote, "This stunning Dane's synths-plus-strings slant on singer-songwriter lovesickness offers refinement over innovation, yet Nanna Øland Fabricius beguiles with a gently insistent presence." Kerri Mason of Billboard opined that Oh Land "might have made the year's first great left-field pop album", praising the songs as "endlessly catchy" and concluding that "the tilting scales of light and dark give the collection a definite creep factor and a clever complexity."AllMusic's Andrew Leahey described the album as an "'anything goes' mix of club, dance, and nocturnal electro-pop", adding that Oh Land "doesn't rewrite the rule book as much as join the ranks of La Roux, Little Boots, and Janelle Monáe. But that doesn't keep her debut album from churning out a number of intelligent club anthems".

White Nights may refer to:
White Nights: the Story of a Prisoner in Russia is an autobiographical memoir by Menachem Begin, the sixth Prime Minister of Israel, describing his imprisonment in the Soviet gulag labour camps during 1940-1942. The book was first published in Hebrew in 1957 and has been available in English translation since 1977.
Along with a description of the author's own harrowing experiences in the camps, the book contains various observations on the real-life operation of the Soviet system and the psychology of some of its minions.
When the book first came out, serious doubts were expressed over whether Begin really could have dared to so boldly express his Zionist worldview to the interrogators under the pressure of the "interrogation" he underwent in the Soviet prison. However, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Begin's NKVD investigation file was declassified, and was found to corroborate the account he gave the book. The book was subsequently re-published in 1995 together with the investigation documents from Begin's file.
"White Nights" (Russian: Белые ночи, Belye nochi) is a short story by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, originally published in 1848, early in the writer's career.
Like many of Dostoyevsky's stories, "White Nights" is told in first person by a nameless narrator; the narrator is living in Saint Petersburg and suffers from loneliness. He gets to know and falls in love with a young woman, but the love remains unrequited as the woman misses her lover with whom she is finally reunited.
Film adaptations have been made by Italian director Luchino Visconti (Le notti bianche, 1957), by Russian director Ivan Pyryev (Belye nochi, 1959), by French director Robert Bresson (Four Nights of a Dreamer, 1971), by Iranian director Farzad Motamen (Shabhaye Roshan, 2003), by Indian film directors Manmohan Desai (Chhalia, 1960), Jananadhan (Iyarkai, 2003), Shivam Nair (Ahista Ahista, 2006) and Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Saawariya, 2007), and by American director James Gray (Two Lovers, 2008).
Who would've known that I could conquer your heart
By reflecting in someone else.
And who would've thought that I could
Comfort your heart, when I can't recognize myself.
I know how she speaks and how she moves
When she doesn't know what to say
Cause her emotions carry her away.
I watch it from my rooftop, every night.
And when I go to sleep she holds my head in her arms
And she makes sure that nothing will tear us apart
And then I steal a lock of her hair, and open up my eyes
I will follow you, you will be my main direction
I study you until I get your
Everything you do is a gem in my collection
I follow you until I get your perfection
Who would've known that after hunting you down
She would leave all the bones for me.
And who would've thought that she could leave someone like you
She left a part of herself.
You know how I speak, how I try to imitate
The way she lays her head on your shoulder

And you got nothing more to say
Down to every detail I won't miss a day
Cause I know all her lines, her favorite things
And how her restless mind keeps her up in the night until the light
Will come and stand here try to catch her eyes
I will follow you, you will be my main direction
I study you until I get your
Everything you do is a gem in my collection
I follow you until I get your perfection
Every step I follow you in the wrong direction
I study you until I will get your perfection
Everything you do is put into my collection
I follow you until I will get your perfection
Who would've known that I could conquer your heart
And who would've thought that I could comfort your heart
I will follow you, you will be my main direction
I study you until I get your
Everything you do is a gem in my collection
I follow you until I get your perfection
