What's up may refer to:
What's Up! is a Swedish boyband established in 2007 and was originally composed of Eric Saade, Robin Stjernberg, Luwdig "Ludde" Keijser and Johan Yngvesson. When Saade left the band to pursue a solo career, he was replaced by Johannes Magnusson.
The band What's Up! was formed based on a competition that attracted hundreds of applicants. 15 finalists competed in an event held at the Globe theater and as a result the four original members were picked. They all had experience in earlier musical events. Eric Saade from Kattarp had won on the Swedish music contest Joker (now Popkorn). Robin Stjernberg from Hässleholm had been a winner in the Sommarchansen in Malmö in 2006, Luwdig "Ludde" Keijser from Enköping had competed in Lilla Melodifestivalen and Johan Yngvesson from Vetlanda had appeared in Super Trouper television series.
The newly formed band toured Sweden starting Spring 2008 and released an album entitled In Pose. It stayed one week in the Swedish Albums Chart at #40. They had two relatively successful singles from the album. "Go Girl!" in May 2007 that peaked at #5 in the Swedish Singles Chart and "If I Told You Once" in March 2008 reaching #16.
"What's Up?" is a song by American rock group 4 Non Blondes from their 1992 debut album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More!. It was released as the album's second single in 1993. It was very successful in Brazil and in several European countries, peaking at number one in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland.
The title does not appear in the song's lyrics. However, the phrase "what's going on?" is prominently included in the chorus. The title was chosen to avoid confusion with Marvin Gaye's 1971 song "What's Going On." The music video was directed by Morgan Lawley.
"What's Up?" ranks number 94 on VH1's 100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders, and ranks 86 on the MuchMore The Top 100 One Hit Wonders.
The recording received considerable airplay success. It reached number 14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and went gold, but peaked higher in many other countries, reaching number one in Germany and Ireland, while reaching number two in the United Kingdom and Australia.
What's Up? is a musical derived from a book by Alan Jay Lerner and Arthur Pierson, lyrics by Lerner, and music by Frederick Loewe. This was the first Broadway stage collaboration of Lerner and Loewe.
After meeting, the team of Lerner and Loewe started writing musicals, resulting in The Life of the Party (1942) and their first Broadway production, What's Up?.
The musical opened on Broadway at the National Theatre on November 11, 1943 and closed on January 4, 1944, after 63 performances. Directed and choreographed by George Balanchine, with the book directed by Robert H. Gordon, the cast included Jimmy Savo, Johnny Morgan, Gloria Warren, and Pat Marshall.
According to theatre historian Ken Bloom "Despite the talents on hand, the show was not a hit."
The New York Times reviewer wrote: "No doubt it is only an habitual pessimist who can look at 'What's Up' and find it not altogether to his liking. All the elements of a Broadway musical show are there. The tunes are fairly catchy. Jimmy Savo -- who undoubtedly is among the great folk of the world -- is present."
