What's My Name? or What's My Name may refer to:
"What's My Name?"is a song by American hip hop recording artist DMX, released as the first single released from his third album ...And Then There Was X (1999). The single peaked at #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. "What's My Name?" was produced by Self and co-produced by Irv Gotti.
The video for "What's My Name?" is somewhat similar to Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way" and Mint Condition's "Is This Pain Our Pleasure.
"Who Am I? (What's My Name?)" (commonly titled "What's My Name?") is the solo debut single by American West Coast hip hop recording artist Snoop Dogg, then known as Snoop Doggy Dogg. Was released on October 30, 1993 as the first single from his debut album, Doggystyle, with the record labels Death Row Records, Interscope Records, Atlantic Records. The song, produced by Dr. Dre, features samples and interpolations from George Clinton's "Atomic Dog" in its chorus and throughout, and an interpolation from Parliament's "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)" in its bridge. The song's intro contains a sample from The Counts' "Pack of Lies." A vocal sample ("the bomb") from Parliament's "P. Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up)" can be heard throughout. The bass line may be an interpretation of the one from Funkadelic's "(Not Just) Knee Deep". It was ranked number 456 on NME's 500 greatest songs of all time.
The massively acclaimed single features many of the conventional topics found in the gangsta rap genre, as Snoop Doggy Dogg, with the laconic, laid-back drawl he became famous for, raps about his involvement with gang crime, killing, drugs, parties, sex and black-on-black shootings. However, the song adopts a more 'funky' tune, (as seen across much of Snoop and Dr. Dre's earlier work). The single quickly became a hugely successful hit, and is recognised as one of Snoop Dogg's "greatest pieces".
My Name may refer to:
"My Name" is a 2010 single from English singer McLean. It was released on March 8, 2010 on CD, and March 5, 2010 on digital download. The track has been remixed by many other British artists. It is thought that the producer of the song is Fraser T Smith, but was also originally produced by Slick and Magic in London - the song was completed in Los Angeles by Dylan "3D" Dresdow, the mix engineer that also mixed The Black Eyed Peas hit singles off their latest album, The E.N.D.. Singer Iyaz, produced a song named 'So Big' that has the same melody.
BBC chart blog's Fraser McAlpine gave a fair review for the song:
I don't know how the people who made this record ever got through it. I mean I've some idea of how you record a song, and usually it requires several million listens to the same three minutes, adding bits, taking bits away, polishing, until it's finally perfect. I only have to review the thing and by my tally I've clocked up over three hours on the one song so far (not all of it continuous).

What the hell is wrong with me?
I'm not who I want to be
I tried spot cream an' I tried it all I'm crawling up the wall!
What's my name naaaame... naaaame... naaaame...
I tried to join a ping-pong club,
Sign on the door said all full up!
I got nicked, fighting in the road
An' the judge didn't even know
What's my name
Dad got pissed so I got clocked
Couldn't hear the tannoy so he lost the lot
Offers mum a bribe through the letter box
Drives you fucking mad
What's my name
Now I'm round the back of your house at night
Peeping in the window - are you sleeping tight?
I laugh at your locks with my celloid strip
An' you won't know who came
