The weretiger appeared as a player characterclass in Night Howlers (1992). In a review of Night Howlers by game designer Rick Swan, he notes that the weretiger can speak with great cats and can magically roar to paralyze its enemies with fear, but that a PC weretiger can't roar until 7th level.
