Hugh "Huey" Morgan (born 8 August 1968 in New York City as Hugh Thomas Ángel Munger Díaz Morgan) is the frontman of the British-based, of New York origin, rock/hip hop group Fun Lovin' Criminals.^[1] He is a guitarist and applies his rock abilities in combination with hip hop music, jazz, rock music, reggae, and funk.

Morgan is half-Puerto Rican and half-Irish. In his youth he got into trouble with the law. A judge finally gave him the choice between going to jail or joining the Marines. He chose to join the Marines.^[2] This is mentioned in the song "The Grave And The Constant.

In 1993, Morgan formed the Fun Lovin' Criminals with Brian Leiser and Steve Borgovini.

Career as a writer and television and radio personality [link]

Huey wrote a regular wine column for the British magazine Mondo from 2000 to 2001.^[3]

On TV, Morgan has appeared on the UK comedy music quiz show Never Mind The Buzzcocks,^[2] twice as a guest panelist and once as a presenter. He also participated in the BBC's The Underdog Show, where eight celebrities trained and rehabilitated rescued dogs.^[4] He currently hosts 'Slips' on the music channel VIVA.^[5]

He did a voice-over for the video game Scarface: The World is Yours, and has starred in Clubbing to Death with Craig Charles, Nick Moran, Dave Courtney, and Deepak Verma.^[2]

Morgan previously lived in Dublin, Ireland, where he co-owns The Voodoo Lounge, The Dice Bar and DiFontaine's Pizza Place.

He later moved to London where he lived with his British wife, Rebecca, and dog Sugar.

On Sunday 5 October 2008 Morgan began hosting his own radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music.^[6] The show won a Bronze Award at the 2009 Sony Radio Academy Awards.

From August 2009, he regularly co-hosted the BBC Radio 2 Jonathan Ross radio show, with Liza Tarbuck, during Ross's holidays.

On February 6 and 13, 2010 Morgan stood in on the Dermot O'Leary show on BBC Radio 2. On the 17th February, Huey was a guest on the "Simon Bird – The King Is Dead" show and he stood in for Radcliffe and Maconie in July 2010.

Since April 2011, Morgan has hosted his own show on BBC Radio 2 on Saturdays from midnight until 3am, replacing the show's previous host Mark Lamarr.

On 13 June 2010, Morgan co-presented 'Something for the Weekend' on BBC2, standing in for regular host Tim Lovejoy who was in South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

He is also a frequent guest panelist on the UK Channel 5 morning show The Wright Stuff.

He made an appearance in the music video of Plan B's single "Prayin'".

He stood in for Lauren Laverne on BBC Radio 6 Music while she was on maternity leave.

He is currently co-hosting Pet Nation on Sky One with Liza Tarbuck.

He makes a guest appearance in the 2nd episode of Skins Series 5 as Toxic Bob, the owner of a Metal Record store.
