  • Music video

The music video for "Weird" was directed by Gus Van Sant. The shots in the white room were filmed in a giant round Victorian room with a floor of lights that rolled on its side and was twenty feet tall. The room rotated and was built by Tom Foden who has also designed and built the spaceship for Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson's "Scream" video. The painting on the wall of the white room was The Judgment of Solomon by eighteenth-century Italian painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo and was a smooth, enlarged color print, so Hanson could slide across it as the room revolved. Another tricky part of the video shoot was having Hanson swim underwater and lip sync to the song at the same time. The brothers wore weights so they would not float out of shot. They also had to hold their breath for a whole verse while they swam towards the camera. The video also shows Hanson in Times Square and on the New York City Subway.

    Psychology

Psychology is the study of mind and behavior. It is an academic discipline and an applied science which seeks to understand individuals and groups by establishing general principles and researching specific cases. In this field, a professional practitioner or researcher is called a psychologist and can be classified as a social, behavioral, or cognitive scientist. Psychologists attempt to understand the role of mental functions in individual and social behavior, while also exploring the physiological and biological processes that underlie cognitive functions and behaviors.

Psychologists explore concepts such as perception, cognition, attention, emotion, intelligence, phenomenology, motivation, brain functioning, personality, behavior, and interpersonal relationships, including psychological resilience, family resilience, and other areas. Psychologists of diverse orientations also consider the unconscious mind. Psychologists employ empirical methods to infer causal and correlational relationships between psychosocial variables. In addition, or in opposition, to employing empirical and deductive methods, some—especially clinical and counseling psychologists—at times rely upon symbolic interpretation and other inductive techniques. Psychology has been described as a "hub science", with psychological findings linking to research and perspectives from the social sciences, natural sciences, medicine, humanities, and philosophy.

    Windows DreamScene

Windows DreamScene is a utility that allows videos and .gif and other optimized animations to be used as desktop wallpapers. It is one of the Windows Ultimate Extras. Prior to its official announcement, DreamScene was rumored to be in creation under the names Motion Desktop and Borealis. After several months of testing, the final version was released on September 25, 2007.

Rendered content included with DreamScene (such as an animated realization of the Windows Aurora background) was produced by Stardock, while photographic content was provided by the Discovery Channel. Third-party video content in MPEG or WMV format may also be used. In addition, AVI files can be played by altering the file extension.

One of the purported advantages of DreamScene over previous methods of desktop animation is that it makes use of the GPU for display instead of the CPU, leaving the latter free to perform user tasks. To what extent this is achieved is not specified. When a full-screen program is run, such as a game or any window that is maximized, the video will automatically stop since the video will not be seen; this means it uses less GPU and CPU. The video can also be stopped manually. Content encoders need to strive for a balance between compression and file size; decompression requires the CPU, but larger files take up more memory and may cause the disk to be accessed more frequently.

  • Nap

A nap is a short period of sleep, typically taken during daylight hours as an adjunct to the usual nocturnal sleep period. Naps are most often taken as a response to drowsiness during waking hours. Cultural attitudes toward napping during the work day vary. In many Western cultures, children and the elderly are expected to nap during the day and are provided with designated periods and locations to do so. In these same cultures, most working adults are not expected to sleep during the day and napping on the job is widely considered unacceptable. Other cultures (especially those in hot climates) serve their largest meals at midday, with allowance for a nap period (siesta) afterwards before returning to work.

    Benefits

Napping was found to be both physiologically and psychologically beneficial. Napping for 20 minutes can help refresh the mind, improve overall alertness, boost mood and increase productivity. Napping may benefit the heart. In a six-year study of Greek adults, researchers found that men who took naps at least three times a week had a 37 percent lower risk of heart-related death.

    Weird Dream

    by: Carina Round

    Are you still sitting still
In the place I left you
    Teasing from your eyes
The tears that you could not let through
    No I didn't cry, no I didn't cry
When I woke up without you
    Tearing from my mind
    Tearing from my mind
Splinters of what's left of the truth
    I didn't want to have
Just didn't want to have to
    Have to ask
    I didn't want to have
Just didn't want to have to
    Have to ask
I have longed to be the one
Try to push it up through
But my lock won't come undone
    Makes me just a statue
    Breaking down the door
    Breaking down the door
    Rip up every floorboard
    Sweep into the cracks
    Flight into the blackness
It's all I've been dying for
    I didn't want to have
Just didn't want to have to
    Have to ask
    I didn't want to have
Just didn't want to have to
Oh I didn't want to have
Just didn't want to have to
    Have to ask
    I didn't want to have
Just didn't want to have to
    Have to ask
No one will love you the way I do
No one will look at you
They way I do no one will look at you
They way I do no one will look at you
I can't even see you from here
I can't even see you from here
I can't even see you from here
