  • Planet Waves

Planet Waves is the fourteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on January 17, 1974 by Asylum Records in the United States and Island Records in the United Kingdom.

Dylan is supported on the album by longtime collaborators the Band, with whom he embarked on a major reunion tour following its release (documented on the live album Before the Flood) (the tour started a couple weeks before release—though Asylum did want the album out first). With a successful tour and a host of publicity, Planet Waves was a hit, enjoying a brief stay at #1 on the US Billboard charts—a first for the artist—and #7 in the UK. Critics were not as negative as they had been with some then-recent Bob Dylan albums (namely Self Portrait and Dylan), but still not enthusiastic for the album's brand of laid-back roots rock.

The album was originally set to be titled Ceremonies of the Horsemen, a reference to the song "Love Minus Zero/No Limit", from the 1965 album Bringing It All Back Home; the release was delayed two weeks when Dylan decided to change the title at the last minute. Another, earlier working title was Wedding Song.

    Wedding Song (There Is Love)

"Wedding Song (There Is Love)" is a song written by Noel Paul Stookey in the fall of 1969 and first performed at the wedding of Peter Yarrow - Stookey's co-member of Peter, Paul and Mary - to Mary Beth McCarthy at St Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar MN: Stookey was best man at the ceremony which took place in the evening of October 18, 1969.

    Composition

Shortly after his Christian conversion, Stookey was asked by Yarrow to "...bless our wedding with a song". According to Stookey "the melody and the words [of "Wedding Song"] arrived simultaneously and in response to a direct prayer asking God how the divine could be present at Peter’s wedding." Drawing almost word for word from the Bible passage Matthew 18:20, the original lyric is "I am now to be among you at the calling of your hearts; rest assured this troubadour is acting on My part. The union of your spirits here has caused Me to remain for whenever two or more of you are gathered in My name, There am I...There is Love." Concerned that guests at the wedding might misinterpret his intention, "I" was changed to "He", in both recorded and performed versions until 1990 when the original lyric was 'officially' restored.

    Lisa (French musician)

Lisa Gautier (known as Lisa, born 1997) is a French dancer, actress and singer. She is Michel Gautier's daughter and Mylène Farmer's niece.

    Career

In 2004, she portrayed the child in the ballet Le Songe de Médée at the Opera Garnier on a choreography by Angelin Preljocaj. Then, two years later, she played in the film Jacquou le Croquant, by Laurent Boutonnat. In 2008, she recorded the single "Drôle de Creepie", the song theme of the animated feature Growing Up Creepie, whose lyrics were written by Mylène Farmer and music composed by Laurent Boutonnat. In the music video directed by Benoît Di Sabatino, Lisa is dressed as a gothic lolita. The song peaked at #6 on the French SNEP Singles Chart in September 2008. Lisa also inspired Farmer's book, Lisa-Loup et le Conteur, published in 2003.

He is also the widower of Alicia Armstrong, who died of a disease when Tina was only six years old. He disapproves of Tina's aspirations of wanting to be a model (DOA2), a Hollywood actress (DOA3) and a rock star (DOA4). Consequently, he enters the DOA tournaments to put an end to her fame-seeking, only to fail at each attempt. In the fourth tournament, it is revealed that he intends to win so he would have enough money to enter the "Hyper Battle Grand Prix", which he then loses after seeing Tina's picture on a billboard and crashes into it after losing control of his bike. Like Tina in the English versions of the game, he, too, speaks with a Southern accent.

    Wedding Song

    by: Smokey Robinson

    What once was a dream
    Will now become
    Two hearts
    Will now be one, hey
Were gonna write the book on happiness
    Pages that time cannot erase
Starting here and now, oh, oh...
Starting here and now, ooh, oh... oh...
    From this time and place
    Oh, what a beautiful day
    To take a vow
Pray that the things that we say
    Will last from now on
I do take you for mine
Were gonna lock our lives together now
    Unshakable, unbreakable embrace
    Starting here and now
    Starting here and now
    Starting here and now
    From this time and place
    Oh...
    What love has joined together
    Only love can put asunder
    And we are
