Morgan Geist, better known by his stage name Storm Queen is an American music producer, songwriter, remixer and DJ from Wayne, New Jersey. He is best known for his song "Look Right Through", which was remixed by Marc Kinchen and had Geist's lyrics sung by Damon C. Scott. Geist is also a member of Brooklyn-based house and nu-disco duo Metro Area. Morgan also remixed many artists including The Rapture, Franz Ferdinand, Telex and many others.
In 2010 Storm Queen released his debut single "Look Right Through" on Geist's own Environ label. In 2011, the follow-up "It Goes On" was released. In July 2012 he released "Let's Make Mistakes" as his third single. On November 3, 2013, a licensed version of the single "Look Right Through" was released via Defected Records/Ministry of Sound. In the United Kingdom, the song entered at the top of the UK Singles Chart on November 10, 2013, becoming Storm Queen's first number one song in The UK, dethroning Eminem and Rihanna's "The Monster" from the top of the chart. In Ireland, the song entered at number thirty on the Irish Singles Chart on November 8, 2013, and peaked at number twenty.
"We Can Make It!" is the nineteenth single of the Japanese boy band Arashi. The single was released in two editions: a regular edition containing the karaoke versions of the songs released in the single, and a limited edition containing a bonus track and a set of cards enclosed in a clear plastic sleeve that serves as the cover art.
"We Can Make It!" was used as the theme song for the drama Bambino! starring Arashi member Jun Matsumoto, making the single the second consecutive single for a drama starring Matsumoto (the first being "Love So Sweet"). The melody of "We Can Make It!" was originally used for the song "Love Is All Around" by a Swedish singer Agnes Carlsson.
We Can Make It is the only number one album in the UK for British vocal duo Peters and Lee. It spent two weeks at the top of the chart in 1973. It is one of the very few number one albums not to be available on CD in the UK. It was produced by John Franz and the conductor was Peter Knight, Scott Walker and Dusty Springfield's old Philips team.
"We Can Make It" is a song by George Jones. It was his first solo single with Epic Records in 1972 after leaving Musicor.
"We Can Make It" was written by Glenn Sutton and Jones' new producer Billy Sherrill. In the liner notes to the 1982 compilation Anniversary - 10 Years of Hits, Sherrill admits that they composed it with Jones's recent marriage to Tammy Wynette specifically in mind, providing the singer with a song that seemed to be speaking to his wife. Both Jones and Sherrill admitted in the 1990 Jones documentary Same Ole Me, they were both extremely nervous, with the latter commenting, "I was scared to death. I was scared of him - he said he was scared of me." Sherrill added that one modification he did make to Jones's style was having him sing in lower keys because he found the vocals on his early records "really, really high, and kind of annoying, to me." "We Can Make It," which made it to #6 on the charts, contained all the hallmarks of the Sherrill sound, including an ascending introduction and his countrypolitan "wall of sound," something Jones was not altogether comfortable with; in 2006 he recalled to Billboard, "He just came up with that sound like he got with Tammy, (singing) "Ba bum ba bum ba bum," build-ups...He tried to do that with me, but I finally had a talk with him. I said, 'Billy, I'm country, I'm traditional, I know you're wanting to cross over with me like you have with Tammy, Charlie Rich and those people, but I'm hardcore and I can't help it. That's what I feel, and I can't do a good job for the label, you or anybody else if I don't feel it myself.'"
