We (Don't) Care

We (Don't) Care was the first release by the rock band MGMT (at the time known as The Management). Newer versions of the tracks "Love Always Remains" and "Kids" were later released on MGMT's Cantora Records release Time to Pretend EP (2005) and additional versions of "Kids" appear on both their major-label debut Oracular Spectacular (2007–2008) and their demo album Climbing to New Lows (2005) recorded shortly after this EP. Additionally, "We Care", "We Don't Care" and "Grutu (Just Becuz)" were also included on Climbing to New Lows.

The EP was recorded with friend and engineer Billy Bennett in Athens, GA at his father's plumbing office.

"We Don't Care" is the fourth single from Akon's third studio album, Freedom. The single was released as a digital download in the United Kingdom on July 6, 2009. The single reached the B-list on BBC Radio 1.

Video

The video for the song was released to YouTube on June 22, 2009. The video features both live performance footage and backstage footage from Akon's Konvicted Tour.

Charts

The track peaked at #61 on the UK Singles Chart. The song also peaked at number 35 on the UK R&B Chart.

Don't-care term

In digital logic, a don't-care term for a function is an input-sequence (a series of bits) for which the function output does not matter. An input that is known never to occur is a can't-happen term. Both these types of conditions are treated the same way in logic design and may be referred to collectively as don't-care conditions for brevity. The designer of a logic circuit to implement the function need not care about such inputs, but can choose the circuit's output arbitrarily, usually such that the simplest circuit results (minimization). Examples of don't-care terms are the binary values 1010 through 1111 (10 through 15 in decimal) for a function that takes a binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, because a BCD value never takes on such values (so called pseudo-tetrades); in the pictures, the circuit computing the lower left bar of a 7-segment display can be minimized to a b + a c by an appropriate choice of circuit outputs for dcba=1010...1111.

Don't-care terms are important to consider in minimizing logic circuit design, using Karnaugh maps and the Quine–McCluskey algorithm. Don't care optimization can also be used in the development of highly size-optimized assembly or machine code taking advantage of side effects.

Don't Care (Obituary song)

"Don't Care" is a 1994 single by American death metal band Obituary. It was released only in the U.S., like a previous release of the album World Demise (1994). A music video of the same name was made for this song.

The song appears in the video to be a protest to man-made pollution.
