We're All Alone

"We're All Alone" is a song written by Boz Scaggs, who introduced it on his 1976 album Silk Degrees. It was included as the B-side of two of the four single releases from that LP, including "Lido Shuffle." "We're All Alone" was a 1977 top-ten hit for Rita Coolidge in the US and the UK.

Early versions

A heartfelt ballad which closed Silk Degrees, "We're All Alone" garnered attention soon after the album's March 1976 release. Frankie Valli had a single version which reached #78 in August 1976 and in the spring of 1977 a version by Bruce Murray was an airplay item in Canada.

The Walker Brothers - one of Scaggs' formative influences - cut "We're All Alone" for their Lines album; the track had an October 1976 single release in the UK where the Frankie Valli version had a single release that July; the Walker Brothers' version did reach #22 in the Netherlands in August 1977 a month before the Rita Coolidge version reached the Dutch charts.

In March 1977 the version by the Three Degrees - recorded for the album Standing Up For Love - was a UK single release meaning that the Rita Coolidge version of "We're All Alone" which reached UK #7 that summer was the fourth UK single release to feature the song as an A-side.

All alone

All alone is an Iranian movie released in February 2013. It's about a teenage boy who lives on an island and wants to meet the president. He wants to talk about problems that a boycott has brought to his family's life. This movie is directed by Ehsan Abdipour, who won the best directing award for creativity and original screen play in Iran Cinema Festival, 2013.

Plot

Rangerou is the nickname of a teenager boy living in one of the Persian Gulf islands with his family. He works to support his family while still in school. He sells fish at the Russian campus, where engineers who are working on the island 's nuclear site live. One night he dreams about a UFO and an abandoned alien but believes it was real. The next day he tells his story to everybody he meets, but no one believes it except for a Russian boy of his age. Soon they become good friends even though they can't speak the same language. After some time Rangerou, who learns Russian by practice, understands that his friend and all other foreigners have to leave Iran for some obscure, political reasons.

The films received some positive reviews. XCritic recommended the first film, saying it was "definitely a fun show to watch," though an AVN critic claimed that "it tends toward the monotonous over three hours." An Adult DVD Talk reviewer stated All Alone 2 would be "a must" for men interested in female masturbation, but "I have seen better and more natural solo scenes, and I felt there was not enough chemistry in the action."RogReviews called All Alone 3 a "tremendous solo effort."AVN complimented Quasar on the variety in the girls in the third volume, writing "there's definitely something for every taste."
