In mathematics, the term simple is used to describe an algebraic structure which in some sense cannot be divided by a smaller structure of the same type. Put another way, an algebraic structure is simple if the kernel of every homomorphism is either the whole structure or a single element. Some examples are:

  • A group is called a simple group if it does not contain a nontrivial proper normal subgroup.
  • A ring is called a simple ring if it does not contain a nontrivial two sided ideal.
  • A module is called a simple module if it does not contain a nontrivial submodule.
  • An algebra is called a simple algebra if it does not contain a nontrivial two sided ideal.
  • The general pattern is that the structure admits no non-trivial congruence relations.

The term is used differently in semigroup theory. A semigroup is said to be simple if it has no nontrivial ideals, or equivalently, if Green's relation J is the universal relation. Not every congruence on a semigroup is associated with an ideal, so a simple semigroup may have nontrivial congruences. A semigroup with no nontrivial congruences is called congruence simple.

    Passion (Kreesha Turner album)

Passion is the first album by the Canadian singer Kreesha Turner. It was released on August 12, 2008, in Canada and was released in early 2009 in the United States.Passion had been available for advanced streaming on MuchMusic.com. a week earlier.Passion was released in the US in early 2009.

In early August, 2008, the album was leaked onto MTV Canada's The Leak on its official website.

Initially, on the back of the album, track 14 was listed as the "Bounce With Me (Rhythm Mix)" but this was an error and the track is actually the "Don't Call Me Baby (Rhythm Mix)". This error on the back cover was corrected on later pressings of the album.

Although Turner originally signed in the US to Virgin Records, a Capitol Music Group label, her first American release will instead be shifted to the Capitol Records imprint, also within the Capitol Music Group umbrella. This will keep a consistency with her Canadian releases under EMI Music Canada which utilize the Capitol Records imprint and are copyrighted by Capitol Records, LLC.

    Wax

Waxes are a diverse class of organic compounds that are hydrophobic, malleable solids near ambient temperatures. They include higher alkanes and lipids, typically with melting points above about 40 °C (104 °F), melting to give low viscosity liquids. Waxes are insoluble in water but soluble in organic, nonpolar solvents. Natural waxes of different types are produced by plants and animals and occur in petroleum.

    Types

Waxes are organic compounds that characteristically consist of long alkyl chains. Natural waxes may contain esters of carboxylic acids and long chain alcohols or mixtures of unsubstituted and substituted hydrocarbons, such as higher alkanes, long chain fatty acids and primary alcohols. Synthetic waxes are long-chain hydrocarbons lacking functional groups.

    Plant and animal waxes

Waxes are synthesized by many plants and animals. Those of animal origin typically consist of wax esters derived from a variety of carboxylic acids and fatty alcohols. In waxes of plant origin characteristic mixtures of unesterified hydrocarbons may predominate over esters. The composition depends not only on species, but also on geographic location of the organism.

    Plain & Simple

    by: Mike & The Mechanics

I'd like my life to be simple
I need my life to be straight
I'd like to see my existence
Going great, going great, going great, great, great
I want my life to be easy
Need my life to be pure
I want to see my success is guaranteed
That's for sure, that's for sure, sure, sure
    Give me the simple life
The plain and the simple life
You've got to give me the simple life
The plain and the simple life
Don't want my life to be anxious
Don't need my life to be tense
I'd like to see my existence making sense
Making sense, making sense, sense, sense
I'd like my life to be simple
Like my life to be plain
So don't you say that I ever, I live in vain, live in vain
    That's insane, sane, sane
    Give me the simple life
The plain and the simple life
You've got to give me the simple life
    The plain and the simple
    Give me the simple life
