No Mercy (film)

No Mercy is a 1986 film starring Richard Gere and Kim Basinger about a policeman who accepts an offer to kill a Cajun gangster.

Plot

Eddie Jilette is a Chicago cop on the vengeance trail as he follows his partner's killers to New Orleans to settle his own personal score. Eddie flees through the Louisiana bayous with Michel Duval, the beautiful Cajun mistress of a murderous crime lord who aims to destroy the Chicago detective before he can avenge his partner's murder. Michel and Eddie fall for each other, although they clash repeatedly while handcuffed together as they attempt to elude the brutal underworld figure and his henchmen.

    "No Mercy" is a song written by Todd Cerney, Dennis Morgan and Stephen Allen Davis, and recorded by American country music artist Ty Herndon. It was released in January 2000 as the second single from his album Steam.

    Critical reception

    Deborah Evans Price of Billboard reviewed the single favorably, saying that the song was "equally sensuous" to "Steam". She added that Herndon "sounds cool and controlled with his fine vocal".

    No Mercy was a pay-per-view produced by the World Wrestling Federation exclusively for the United Kingdom. It took place on May 16, 1999 at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. It was released on DVD in the UK and Europe on July 12, 2010, in a set also including Capital Carnage as part of the WWE's Tagged Classics range released by Silvervision, without any edits to the original content, most notably keeping all mentions and appearances of the WWF logo intact and un-blurred.

    Preliminary matches

    The first match was a singles match between Tiger Ali Singh and Gillberg. Singh quickly pinned Gillberg after a reverse neckbreaker.

    The following match was between The Ministry of Darkness (Viscera, Faarooq and Bradshaw) and The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, and Christian). Bradshaw pinned Gangrel for the victory after a Clothesline From Hell.

    The third match saw Steve Blackman defeat Droz by submission using a Triangle Choke. Following that match saw Kane competing against Mideon. Mideon was disqualified after several Corporate Ministry members interfered, resulting in Kane being declared the winner.
