WMNY is a U.S. gospel music radio station serving the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania market. The station, which is owned by Pentecostal Temple Development Corporation, broadcasts at 1150 kHz with a power level of 1,000 watts daytime and 70 watts night, and using a two-tower directional antenna system. WMNY is licensed to New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Owned and Operated by the Assistant to the Bishop Reverend Dr. Loran E. Mann, who is a former Pittsburgh radio and TV personality (primarily at WPXI-TV), and is still seen occasionally on Pittsburgh-based Cornerstone Television.
On December 8, 2015, WMNY and its sister station, WGBN, suddenly went silent without explanation. Two weeks later, ownership said in a published report that electrical and financial issues were the cause of the station's sudden cease of operations, and that it was expected to return to the air soon. Instead, the station did not return, and filed for a Special Temporary Authority application on January 12th to keep the station silent for 180 days. The FCC granted the application on Monday, February 1, 2016.
Cuenta el abuelo que
De niño el jugó
Entre árboles y risas
Y alcatraces de color
Recuerda un rÃo
Transparente si olores
Donde abundaban peces
No sufrÃan ni un dolor
Cuenta mà abuelo
De un cielo muy azul
En donde voló papalotes
Ue él Mismo construyó
El tiempo pasó y
Nuestro viejo ya murió
Y hoy me pregunté
Después de tanta destrucción
¿Dónde diablos jugarán los pobres niños?
¡Ay ay ay!
¿En dónde jugarán?
Se esta quemando el mundo
