WLYF (101.5 FM, "101.5 Lite FM") is a Lite Rock music formatted radio station that broadcasts in Miami Gardens, Florida (the studios and transmitter are both located here). The station targets women aged 25–54. WLYF has solid ratings throughout South Florida and is a popular listen at work radio station due to its format and laid back presentation.
101.5 FM first signed on the air as WWPB-FM in 1948 as a B-EZ station. The station was owned and operated by Paul Brake for more than twenty years.
In 1969, Sudbrink Broadcasting assumed ownership of the station. The call letters were changed to WLYF (known by the moniker "Life" for many years until the current "Lite FM" name was adopted) and, later that year, Sudbrink Broadcasting relocated to the WLBW television tower and increased their effective radiated power to 100,000 watts. The station became the nation's first FM radio station to achieve a number one audience rating.
In 1977, the station was sold to Storer Broadcasting. Two years later, in 1979, it was purchased by Jefferson-Pilot Communications (now the Lincoln Financial Group). The studio was moved to NW Second Avenue in North Dade, near what is now Sun Life Stadium.
Verse 1:
A thought in my head, I think
Of something to do
Expressions tell everything
I see one on you
Chorus:
Whoa-oh-oh-oh, my love she comes in colors
You can tell her from the clothes she wears
Verse 2:
When I was invisible
I needed no light
You saw right through me, you said
Was I out of sight?
[repeat chorus]

Verse 3:
When I was in England town
The rain fell right down
I looked for you everywhere
'Til I'm not around
[repeat chorus]
