WIMG

WIMG (1300 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Gospel music format. Licensed to Ewing, New Jersey, the station is currently owned by Morris Broadcasting Company of New Jersey, Inc.

History

Originally licensed to Trenton as WOAX in 1923, WIMG is the oldest radio station in New Jersey. For a time WOAX was associated with WHAP in New York City, a controversial station influenced by the Ku Klux Klan and a dissident faction of Christian Science. By 1934 WOAX's call sign had been changed to WTNJ. In the 1940s WTNJ was sharing time on 1310 kHz with stations in Asbury Park and Camden; a 1949 agreement broke up the time share, and WTNJ became a daytime-only station on 1300 kHz. The station's call letters changed to WAAT in 1959. WAAT operated with Top 40, country and middle-of-the-road formats at various times. The WTNJ call sign returned in 1971, and a year later the station moved to a soul music format. In 1979 the station became WIMG ("Imagination Radio") with a format featuring old-time radio programming. This policy was short-lived, and R&B and adult contemporary formats were tried in later years. In the 1980s WIMG was granted a license to operate full time; its city of license was changed to Ewing as part of that process. By the late 1990s the present ownership had acquired the station and the current gospel format was established.

WIMG (CPU)

WIMG is an acronym that describes that memory/cache attributes for PowerPC Power Architecture. Each letter of WIMG represents a one bit access attribute, specifically: Write-Through Access (W), Cache-Inhibited Access (I), Memory Coherence (M), and Guarded (G).

Write-Through Access (W)

When set to 1, indicates a Write-Through Access. When set to 0 indicates access to address that is non-Write Through.

Cache-Inhibited Access (I)

When set to 1, indicates a Cache-Inhibited Access. When set to 0 indicates access to address that is cacheable. External caches such as look-aside and directory protocols use this bit to determine their actions. The value of the I bit must be same for all accesses by processors to a given address carried by the Ax() field.1 However, an I/O or peripheral may access with I bit set to 1 an address that is being accessed by processors with I bit set to 0. Such aliasing of the I bit is not considered an error. The combination W=I=1 is not supported.1

Tabing Airport

Tabing Airport (IATA: PDG, ICAO: WIMG) was West Sumatra's primary airport prior to the opening of the new Minangkabau International Airport on 22 July 2005. It is currently used as an airbase by the Indonesian Air Force.
